We had dinner at this restaurant on Friday, 02/11/2022. My friends and I felt frightened and hurt. First of all, when we requested a second side dish, we were told we would have to pay for it, which is the first time I have encountered in all my years of eating Korean food. Secondly, we ordered a soup and got a different one (but they replaced it). Thirdly, and the most important and scary thing, we ordered Korean fried chicken, garlic honey flavor, there was a piece of tender in there that was bitten, hidden under other chicken wings and tenders, each of us had already eaten a piece, I can not think about this thing, it is covid period and very easy to spread omicron virus, we ate someone else to eat the rest of the fried chicken ???? But I only asked for a refund for the fried chicken, the staff/manager, no one gave us a sincere apology and a satisfactory answer, I am shocked that such a thing happened in such a severe covid period. My friends and I are both negative, if we get positive because of those fried chickens eaten by someone else, who is responsible??
reply⚠️ Are you kidding me? Is this the way you handle customer feedback? Your words really shocked me! 14380 N Dale Mabry Hwy, Tampa, FL 33618. K-chicken & Grill Korean BBQ. is this your address and restaurant name please? We each took a piece of fried chicken off the plate and then finished it and when we went back to the plate we saw a bitten piece of chicken, are you suspecting that I put it back in myself to smear you? Am I free? I came here to have dinner not to argue with you. I was even saying sorry to your staff, I had a very unpleasant dinner and I felt in danger that this was covid period and such a horrible thing happened! Now instead you tell me it was my imagination? I have taken pictures and I have video if you need. I can also ask your employee in person, he actually told me that the second small dish charge, these are really ridiculous. I didn't expect you to respond to my feedback like that, which disappointed...
Read moreFirst time here and will definitely be back! K-pop going and Jinro chillin makes for a good time!
Crazy Hot Tenders - $14.95 Rating: 4.5/5 Heat: 6/5 Value: 5/5 If you've never had an extract based hot sauce you might want to steer clear this one isn't for the faint of heart! Personally, I prefer spicy non-extract based sauce but the flavor wasn't bad although it did taste like extract. Chicken was absolute fire! Light craggly batter perfectly cooked chicken exploding with juice. Also tried the Honey Garlic sauce which was decent but not my favorite although adding this to the Crazy Hot did make for a nice combo. The amount of chicken was impressive around 8/9 nice sized hand breaded tenders. Definitely over 1 lb of chicken and could have easily have split this with my wife but we came to sample the menu today.
Beef Bulgogi Gimbap - $9.95 Rating: 3.5/5 Value: 3/5 Flavors were on point everything was fresh the bulgogi was very flavorful and tender. The roll is large 12 pieces but I wouldn't be upset with a bit more bulgogi.
Pork Bulgogi Bipimbap - $14.95 Rating: 3.5/5 Value: 3/5 This is a very beautiful dish the presentation is top notch. Perfect cuts on all the veggies and the pork bulgogi was just as perfect as the beef but again for the price would like about double that amount of meat. The flavors are next level some definite skill in the kitchen. The bowl is pipping hot which cooks the rice on the bottom giving you these insteresting slight burnt rice pieces. Very tasty!
Banchan - Free Rating: 5/5 I'm not sure sure if they always do this but we planned on ordering the Banchan however upon sitting down the lovely waitress brought out a full spread of goodness. This whole platter was an absolute flavor bomb! The salad with golden raisins and ginger dressing was my favorite but the cucumber kimchi and daikon raidish were close behind. We even ordered more kimchi and daikon all for free.
Overall while everything wasn't perfect we will definitely be...
Read moreThis review is long overdue. I’ve been eating at K-Chicken & Grill for a little over a year now and it’s my personal favorite hidden gem in the Tampa area. It never fails to hit the spot every time I come and outdoes every other Korean restaurant I used to love going to before discovering this place. It’s super clean and the ambience is both relaxing and fun. There’s always K-pop music playing, so it’s fun to be dining hearing some of your favorite groups if you’re into K-pop (honestly, I lose it whenever SHINee comes on haha).
Upon coming in, you have the option to choose between having KBBQ or simply order dishes. All of the food is absolutely delicious. From Korean chicken (the honey garlic is AMAZING) to bibimbap to kimchi stew to various bulgogis— the options are endless and there is something for everyone! Even the appetizers are delicious and filling on their own (I personally really love getting the cheese corn or the tteokbokki with cheese). They also have a ton of soju flavors! It took the restaurant a while, but they finally recently acquired a bunch of new flavors. I strongly recommend coming by and trying them out! It’s so much fun. I love being able to have my favorite flavors (the applemango and yogurt sojus are so tasty) or try some new ones! I can’t recommend the food and drinks enough.
In addition to the great food, the staff are always friendly, attentive, and kind. I’m a pretty shy person, but Tink and Bekk are really fun and always make me feel comfortable whenever I come in. I think it’s important to have employees who are patient and kind, so I really do want to shed light on their service. It does not go unnoticed!
I’m so glad to have discovered this place. I would highly recommend it to anyone. If you’re thinking of stopping by, make sure to get the pork bulgogi spicy. You’ll...
