Pop's Grill, Fish & Chicken — Restaurant in Florissant

My daughter had the jumbo shrimp dinner from another location. I tasted it, like hers so I decided to visit this location in Florissant. This was my first time eating at Pops. The lady taking orders wasn’t all out rude, however she was nice/nasty, dismissive, rushing, and seemed somewhat irritated. I asked for jumbo shrimp combo, fried well done with cheese fries. As I tried to ask for something else, she over talked me telling me how long before it was ready and asked my name. I gave my name and asked again to make sure shrimp were fried hard. She then irritatedly said “I heard you the first time, I already wrote it down, thank you” and hung up. When I got to the restaurant and got my food, she again was a bit dismissive. When I got to my car, opened my food, my shrimp WERE NOT FRIED HARD, 2 of them were stuck together and the batter they use was wet and clumpy in between. The others again had the batter a bit soft in between as well. My fries were not super fresh, but warm because I added cheese. I didn’t take it back in because they were a bit crowded and at this point I was a bit irritated and appetite ruined. The food my daughter had was cooked to perfection so I definitely will go back to Pops, just not this location. They may need to teach the girl at the front to be a bit more friendly before someone...

This was the 1st time visiting this place, but definitely will not be my last!!!( I'm actually on my way there for there lunch special😋). Customer Service was exceptional!! & many establishments could take valuable lessons from them! from the moment we opened the door we were greeted & attentively taken care of. Everything was prepared fresh right in front of us & did not take long to prepare & pkg up at all. The prices are extremely reasonable for the amount of food that U are given. I ordered a Beef Nacho, a Lg. Catfish Nuggets Platter, a Jack Salmon Filets/Gizzards Platter & Garden Salad, all of them came with Fries & Drinks & my bill was a lil' over $29. The food was delicious & very filling. I'm on my way to get a 5pc Whole Chicken Wings w/ Fries & another Beef Nachos, both are only $5 & come with a Drink. U can't beat it!!! This place has been open for a little while and since we live close, we always mean to go by and try it, but hadn’t yet. Last weekend we finally had the time to pop in and check it out. Let me just say: this place is OUT OF SIGHT! The lady who works the counter (didn’t get her name) is so sweet and nice! There is so much on the menu to choose from and everything is so good! The chicken and fish are so juicy and delicious, the fries are great and the soda is nice and cold! We went there yesterday for the second time in a week and tried one of Natalie’s cakes. It was SO amazing! And the prices CAN NOT BE BEAT! Every meal comes with fries and a canned soda and can stuff yourself for so much less!
