Been going 3 years almost weekly. Today i go to pay put money on counter. And it was gone!
Not sure what happened. Someone obviously took it. I don't think staff did unless by mistake. But they went to review camera told me that I didn't put 20.00 on counter. Wjen je went to show me. The camera view they showed me showed nothing. They seemed to be concerned i was blaming them or staff. Been going there all the time, would never think they did it.. But they was to concerned with that to honestly find out what happened. I paid again, now my meal cost 35.00, i seen they had other cameras in there that would show the counter. Went back up asked for manager again to have hom check another angle. Someone had come up from behind to put a tip on counter and that is when i think it happened.
But manager would not come back out to talk to me. Took my number said they would check it out and call.
Now my group was 7 people, we go weekly with anywhere from 4 people to 10, every week Twice this week. I feel they didn't believe me, and will not follow up with me.
I paid while they checked the camera anyway, thinking the camera will resolve issue. But as i said the camera view they looked at showed only his cashier and was only concerned with convincing me they didnt do it. And didnt do that very well. Possibly the language barrier played into it. But my meal cost 35.00, and the whole time i felt they thought i was lying.
The old ownership would have never made me feel that way, and to have that happen in front of my co workers wasn't pleasant.
I dont think we will return unless they follow up on this. The wait staff knows we are regulars and are always there. But i feel as if i was being looked down on.
I still dont think any staff did this unless it was a mix up. They have always been great. But i think they automatically thought i was accusing. Because he kept saying the cashier didnt take it. Very disheartening i couldnt convinve them, i wasnt accusing anyone. But i did put 20 there as...
Read morePearl Cafe is an awesome place to eat. The food is terrific. I mean outstanding, awesome, phenomenal! It is made fresh to order and the balance of ingredients and spices is perfect. I ordered a togo meal this evening and it was as great as ever. Prep time was @15 minutes, and they wrapped it nicely-even taping the ends of the togo bag! Let's talk about nuance in what is GREAT food. Ever been to McDonald's when it was really busy? Ever get the fries Fresh out of the fryer? They are pretty good, arent they? Flash forward 30 minutes with me. Now how do you feel when you eat 30 minute old fries? I already know. You have the same feeling when you read your drunk texts to your ex from the night before when Tequila shots seemed like the logical bet choice. I only bring this up because everything I have had from Pearl has been great Fresh-n-hot, and been great two hours later, and even the next day it was a joy to eat. If you had bad Thai food experience or have never tried Thai food, get over yourself and head on over to Pearl. The interior was spotless, and cozy, without being cramped. They have likely the best Whiskey inventory of any restaurant/bar in NoCo. The picture I took of the liquor doesnt do them any justice, but their spirit selection is huge. Do yourself a favor and try it out. I recommend the Drunken Noodles. A+ dish! O look forwards to warmer weather and sitting on their outdoor area. This is an awesome place to eat, and drink! 0 complaints, 100%...
Read moreWhen we first moved to Florissant, Pearl Cafe was the first place that was recommended to us, and last week we finally got around to going. It was a Saturday around 5 p.m. and when we walked in, they weren't all that busy. We sat down, got waters, and our waitress was awesome about making recommendations since we hadn't been, and took her time explaining the menu.
We got some chicken wings, which were delicious, and our food came not long after. I'd told the waitress I wanted a little spice, not too much. What I got was too much! It was thai chili stir fried, I think, and it tasted amazing, but my mouth was on fire after a few bites. I typically drink 3-4 glasses of water at dinner, but after we ordered, we didn't see our waitress again. The restaurant got busy, and as far as we could tell, there were only two servers. This being said, I drank my water as well as my boyfriend's, and ate about 4 bites of food. My nose was running so much from the spiciness that it was embarrassing. We flagged down the other server, paid our bill and brought our food home. I've eaten the leftovers in very small portions. Like I said, it's tasty, just too spicy!
All in all, I would order food to go from Pearl Cafe, but I'm not sure I would eat in the restaurant again, unless it was the middle of the afternoon, when I'm sure they...
