My visits to this restaurant have been pleasent, thus far. The atmosphere is typical of every Subway I have ever visited; mostly calm and orderly with the occasional anxious shared vibe when a customer ahead orders five sandwiches each with a complicated list of modifications. Totally understandable. In regards to food quality, I have never had an issue receiving food that wasn't fresh tasting and visually appealing. I observed the staff practicing food safety best practices, especially in regards to hand washing and glove changing. No using a food production glove to tender your transaction here, thank goodness. Cleanliness expectations were met both behind and in front of the food production counter. My expectations in that regard are very high with little mercy having been in the restaurant industry for many years. I know what to look for and what standards apply; so, good job and kudos to the team at this Subway! I did not check the fountain drink area, though; and, therefore am unable to note that best practices are being applied. Given the cleanliness I observed elsewhere, I am confident that no pink slime (yuck!) is inhabiting the ice dispenser and that the fountain heads are sanitized daily. No one wants a side of bacteria with their foot long. The service level of this restaurant was average. Nothing noteworthy here. I'm not sure the basics of hospitality are being implemented throughout the service industry anymore. I know restaurant work is hard and staff interacts with some... unpleasant individuals on the daily. So, unless the folks behind the counter are blatantly rude to me, I seldom complain about the quality of service. One final observation to note in regards to cleanliness is that the exterior of the building was clean and well maintained. Dirty outside usually means dirty inside. Thankfully, this Subway seems to be checking all of the cleanliness boxes; and, therefore, considering all observations, I am confident in rating this restaurant with five stars. Keep up the hard work, Subway team! If you want to make your restaurant stellar, simply plugin hospitality best practices (Smile. Greet warmly. Say; "Thank you!") to your service expectations. It's a...
Read moreI used to LOVE this subway I told people this was the best subway in town. Today changed everything. When I walked in the staff was polite but the counter where they build sandwiches was covered in food debris. The bins with the meat and toppings had food scraps in them as well and it was all very messy. There was no one in the store and it took them almost 6 min to get situated and start my sandwich and I don’t mean 6 min to clean the counters…they didn’t do that. THE WORST part of my visit though is when the female employee working thought it was the perfect time to make herself food and eat it while standing at the uncovered counter. Numerous times she ate her meal and then touched the equipment and sandwich tubs. She never went in the back, never washed her hands, never changed gloves. She just sat at the counter and ate her sandwich right next to where my sandwich was placed on the counter. I have never been more disgusted with a food experience and if that’s how the managers think an employee should be trained then it won’t be long before the health department pays...
Read moreThis location is supposedly under new ownership. It is hard to imagine that it could be worse than the previous ownership; however, that was my experience today. We had to announce our presence to get the employee to emerge from the back. She immediately started complaining about how her coworker didn’t show up, and she wasn’t even suppose to be there. Then she listed off all of the things that had to be done for prep work and told us about all the dirty dishes. She had no earthly idea how to make a sandwich. We had to tell her how to do it. She didn’t know how much meat to put on the sandwich. The bell peppers were one inch thick, and the tomatoes fell apart when she picked them up. She tried to roll up my foot long flatbread from the short end. This was the worst experience I have ever had at Subway, and I will never give this location...
