(UPDATE 3/02/23): DISAPPOINTED ONCE AGAIN! I know I said I'd never go back, but decided to give it another chance. Once again I ordered a regular order of Fries for $4.35 including tax...what a RIP OFF! This time the portion size was even smaller, I couldn't believe my eyes. To top that off, the fries they gave me were cold and half burned, they were an AWFUL WASTE of almost $5, I ate a few and just threw them away, they were terrible and not even close to edible. Well, I definitely will NOT ever recommend this place to ANYONE! They're overpriced and the food quality is nothing like it was when they first opened. Posted photos of today's order.
(UPDATE 1/16/23): I decided to order some fries for lunch again today and only ordered a regular and not a large order due to their portion size during my first visit. I did ask about my order stating how the portion size was about half of what was served the last time I ordered. The response that I received was, "Yes, we've been having a portion control problem lately and had to fix the problem". I just stated that how this was all that I ordered for my lunch thinking it would be the same amount, I was then told that I could/should have ordered a large...extremely disappointing response to say the least 😞 with no resolution to my complaint so I unfortunately, will not be going back. $3.99 + tax ($4.35) for fries and the fries are now the size of fast food fries, (which are much cheaper) although the fast food fries are not nearly as good.
Not everyone agrees with me but I absolutely love their fries!! They definitely give you your money's worth. The prices do seem a bit high, but the food quality and quantity is where the value is at, like or hate it, but everyone should try it at least once and I'd suggest inside pick up if you're not dining in, this is so you can see all of the different menu items being ordered throughout the restaurant and then you'll understand this review a little better. Read moreI may have been their best customer, or close to it. I’m going to pump the brakes now after having many frequent visits.
As much as I like the food, they tarnish the value by offering inconsistent quantity. Some days, you get a mountain of fries. Others, they fill the container with a slight overage, if that. One day was so pitiful I had to say something, and I was informed it was two handfuls. Depending on how big the cook’s hands are, that’s how big your order was.
If I’m paying $5 for cheese fries, my expectation is that I get a fair quantity that isn’t at the whim of who’s cooking’s hand size. It’s like some employees forget how much people are spending on the food relative to their competitors. I left this feedback on their website a while ago. No one contacted me, and I had yet another repeat of that very issue. The “cold fusion” custard they also will not consistently fill all the way up. The one I had today was under-filled by about 20%, alongside being forgotten to be brought to the table, coupled the fry order being prepared incorrectly (forgot the cheese) that was also 40% less quantity than the average amount received.
I had a friend who a few days ago had someone pick up an order where they forgot the custard he was charged for. Accuracy is a recent recurring problem as well.
My other problem is on the “cooked to order” advertising. I believe the fries are, but there have been multiple instances of the chicken coming to the table just a bit above room temperature. This is a significant opportunity for improvement.
While I’ve had a many good visits to Super Chix having been probably 15+ times since they opened ~3 months ago, the amount of less than ideal experiences is too frequent to be considered incidental or a fluke issue, particularly for the price paid. I will not be returning for a long time, and I hope that they will seek to improve...
Read moreSuperchix! Got there after the lunch crowd, and it was still busy. Lines were almost out the door, but they had 3 cashiers, so it went by fast. Once you put in your order you could pick to eat in or carryout, we chose to eat in, they give you a table number, find your seat, and they'll bring it right out.
Everything is a la carte, so your fries has to be ordered separately. They offer chicken sandwiches, salads, and custard/shakes. You can get your chicken fried or grilled, he went for the bacon ranch and avocado fried chicken sandwich, with loaded fries. I got the Asian sesame salad with grilled chicken. Fries can be simple seasoned with salt, cajun, rosemary, and they also had something called sweet, which he didn't recommend with our loaded fries, we agreed.
While waiting for your food, help yourself to their sauce station which had about 7 different sauces. Food came out within 10mins, pretty fast for an extremely busy place. I don't usually eat dressing, so I like a salad that has hints of fruits and nuts in it, this looked perfect. I forgot to get my dressing on the side, so my salad was drenched in it. It was too sweet for my liking, and kind of ruined the taste of everything else after, my own fault. I could barely taste the fries or sandwich after that 😢
I can tell you that the texture of the breading on their chicken is very comparable to the Lords Chik-Fil-A. Fries portions were huge, their large is like two large fries. I would recommend this place if you want different chicken sandwich options other than a simple sandwich with a few crisp lettuce and pickle, it's basically a fancier Chik-Fil-A. Awesome staff and customer service!
