I love this place.
For four long years complained that the Gulf Shores area has terrible coffee shops. Everywhere else I've ever lived, I had a little coffee shop sanctuary decompress, caffeinate and get a something decent to eat. In Mobile, that place is Satori - and I finally have one for Gulf Shores now that Gypsy Queen opened in Foley.
I was getting my car serviced up the road and was just DYING without afternoon coffee and saw there was one nearby. (shout to to Jerrell & Angie - if you need a good, honest, & affordable mechanic, go see Jerrell. I drive past dozens of shops on my way to see him)
I walked in FULLY expecting the coffee to be terrible (no offense to Foley, but I was not expecting to find the espresso of my dreams here) but their espresso blew me away. The beans they buy (Mama Moka's I think? I remember they're from Auburn, AL.) made my eyes pop out of my head. Holy hell their espresso is good.

The coffee is definitely one of the best I have had and if for some reason you don't like it or if it is too sweet (as I read in another review) they are more than happy to fix it. The staff is very friendly which makes the experience so much better. The lounge is a great place to to chill, the owners artwork and style makes for a very comfy and enjoyable atmosphere. It is definitely...
Read moreGypsy Queen Java has been a very pleasant addition to downtown Foley. And they are continually improving. As soon as you step in you will encounter a wonderful playlist of music that has Motown, Classic rock, reggae, and instrumentals. The baristas are friendly, have great personalities, and helps provide remarkable experiences to their customers. They have various drinks with names from hit songs like "Government Mule", "Raspberry Beret", and "Midnight Rider." They also have tea. And yes! They have food (quiche, sandwiches, and baked goods). There's also a lounge area where you can just chill, as well as a back lounge area. If that's not enough, they also have frequent user cards. This place is amazing! Definelty...
