Same thing tonight. Just ordered regular delivery. Pizza was good, but there was no knock, no doorbell to let us know pizza had arrived. Found it sitting outside the front door after thinking it's been at least 40 minutes when they promised it under that time. This is ridiculous. Why won't the delivery drivers knock or ring the doorbell, Papa Johns???!!!
This is from a previous email from their "Social Engagement Team" about this problem:
"We’re sorry to hear this happened with your recent order. The driver should let you know they have arrived by knocking or ringing your bell. We will share this with the store’s leadership team to review."
Apparently the store's "Leadership Team" has still not reviewed and is not leading.
They make a good pizza. This rating is just for tonight's "contactless delivery".
"Contactless delivery" need NOT be ABSOLUTELY AND TOTALLY contactless.
The delivery person should at least knock on the door or ring the doorbell. We started wondering where our pizza was, and finally looked out the door. There it was. Barely warm. Had to be heated up in the oven.
We were sitting about 6 feet from the front door in the TV room, so there's no way we could have missed a knock or ring.
I also did not get any notifications on my phone.
So tonight, March 5th, we ordered pizza again. Again, no knock, no doorbell. Fortunately we were on alert looking for our pizza, and it was fine.
After my previous review, I got an email from "Jasmine W." of the "Social Engagement Team".
Her email on Feb 10th: "Good morning!
We’re sorry to hear this happened with your recent order. The driver should let you know they have arrived by knocking or ringing your bell. We will share this with the store’s leadership team to review. How about we get you a code for 50% off your next online pizza, at regular menu price, to make this right?"
I emailed her back: "Thanks, Jasmine. I would appreciate a 50% off code."
After hearing nothing for three days, I emailed her on Feb 13th:
"Hi Jasmine,
How does this code thing work?"
Never heard back, and never got a code for 50% off. Paid full price for tonight's (March 5th) pizza.

Read moreThe new GM needs a class on customer service. We order from papa john’s regularly. Looks like this has happened before to someone else on the reviews. If this a locally owned establishment, I would love to speak to the OWNER. Today, using their phone services, like we do every single time, we ordered a pizza, paid for it with a card, and it is already debited from his bank account. Their service providers and managers are not on the same page. So the delivery was made and they were standing on our front porch with the pizza, being shown the transaction on our bank mobile app, and the delivery driver is saying it was put in as a cash order and asking us to pay for it again. She called her manager and the new manager refused to apologize, do anything, and wanted us to pay for the pizza again and then dispute the charge. Said it wasn’t his fault so there’s nothing he can do. He recalled talking to the third party ordering service and said that’s not what he told her to do etc etc. We told them to keep the pizza, that we weren’t paying for it twice (the delivery driver was the sweetest, not her fault at all) but as long time locals that are loyal to papa johns, NO MORE. This was the final straw. I’ve waited for a delivery before that after the estimated time passed, I called and they said they had no drivers (after I had waited 30 minutes already) so I had to go pick it up anyways. Call back today to get my order remain correctly by the way, nothing was touched in the box. We put the food in the fridge and said we would just take it back the next day then they’re gonna tell me all they can do is refined me 50% because it wasn’t called in last night. The manager he is a complete waste of space acting like he’s doing me a favor by refunding me 50% of my order that place just needs to shut down already and so there’s no miscommunication the Papa John’s in Foley, Alabama right beside Al’s liquor and Subway.
