We visited for lunch on Friday and were seated immediately. The food came pretty quick after we ordered. - Old fashioned burger with fries: the portion was big. The patty was well cooked and the buns were soft and fluffy. The burger tasted good. The fries were ok: hot and crispy but tasted like store bought. - Lobster roll with chips: they gave generous portion of lobster meat. The lobster was perfectly cooked (not chewy) but it was lack of flavor. The bread part was good and soft but it was only one slice of bread. I wish that they gave bigger so I could enjoy it with the lobster meat. The chips are my favorite! They are crispy & thin and perfectly seasoned.

Went in on a Thursday night around 8:30pm just to check this place out. Upon entering there was a nice welcoming from the staff. The crowd was more 40+ yr old groups of friends out for a drink. The staff was attentive and the owner stopped by to greet our table. We ordered the Crack Pie a La Mode, never heard of it, kind of a really sweet carmel center on a oatmeal cookie crust with gelato. While we were there I noticed a bar worker drop a hand towel on the floor and it was nice to see him immediately discard it for a new towel to continue his duties. The evironment was casual but definitely more bar than grill. More likely to return for a day drink.

Soup was very delicious and affordable (tomato). They could do a mini pizza bread with it instead of the plain butter toast. Everyone else seemed to like their meals - pizza, pastrami, calzone. Chips are homemade and very good. Hoping their speed of service improves (took us 1.5 hours at lunch :-/) but Dominick came to give us a very warm welcome and tell us the story of how the restaurant came about. I’m sure service will improve in the future! Prices are a bit high for lunch but average for dinner. Cocktails were $12, but I think that’s because he said they make their own fruit juices every morning. I definitely look forward to coming back!

We used to like to come here for fantastic ribs on Thursday afternoons. The best place ever for ribs. There was a nice female waitress, too, who was always nice and remembered us. Then, one day late last year our view of this place changed completely. My wife called for a reservation and was told one wasn’t needed. We showed up later than we intended and encountered this young man with dark hair who said that there were no seats. Several were empty, though. He said they were reserved. We told him that we called and were told that we didn’t need a reservation. Then came the bomb: “No one would have told you that.” This fellow was strongly suggesting we were lying. I restrained myself and we left. It has taken me months to write this because I wanted to let my anger disappear. This young guy is in the wrong job. Minimally he needs retrained. To be frank, he was rude and a jerk. On a more objective note: I think The Corner has a seating problem. Many of their seats are elevated and are uncomfortable for seniors like ourselves. The restaurant is small also. It appears that as a result they will not give you a table for 4 if there are only 2 in your group. They wait until a party of 4 comes in. That is my interpretation anyway. It’s all about the dollars, it seems. I get it, but it seems there would be some concern for the customers. That’s fine if this is their policy. But the Corner and its policy is not for us. Nor are rude service staff. Any restaurant whose employee infers my wife is a liar isn’t for me. It reveals the management has poor judgment. I wish them the best and hope they change. But we won’t be back. Too bad. The Corner lost two “honest” customers mainly because their staff insulted...

The food is fantastic here, never had anything I or my guests did not really enjoy as it has been our local "corner tavern" for years. I have been here, Dominic's and Pronto's when he owned it. A recent visit to the tavern as a bit of a disappointment. Arriving were had a wait for a which is normal but then sat a bit later at a table that was empty then asked to move one table over? We were told that pizza was at least an hour wait (Saturday) so we went with simpler items like a burger. After getting little recognition from staff, no silverware, waters upsell for an app. and waiting way too long I was ready to leave. Food happened to come out but not even plated, bare sandwich with nothing else on the plate with attitude from what appears was the only server. Keep in mind patrons can see into the kitchen and watched as a crew of staff argued with no real order to the process and no sense of management. Been here dozens of times both for lunch and dinner but will second guess the next time if I do not feel like the staff doesn't care. Full tables of empty plates and napkins on the ground for too long watching staff walk right over it....

My husband and I (first responder and college instructor) have been to this place twice with horrible service. We came back a second time hoping that maybe we just came on a bad night but we were very much mistaken. The first time we attended the bar tender took out orders with a very condescending tone and proceeded to serve us that way. We then came back a couple months later when we were seated by the server (who was not to blame for this incident, as he was pleasant about the Interaction at first) but the owner of this place approached us and told us we had no option and needed to move tables to make room for a party of 6 when we had been seated and already placed an order. He was extremely rude telling us that we had no idea how a small business was ran. I grew up as a daughter of a small business owner as well as worked in restaurants (family owned restaurants included) so it was extremely disrespectful to have that told to me. I will not ever recommend this place at all and am fully prepared to share my experience at this "small business" with anyone and...
