Fontana Regency 8 — Local services in Fontana

We brought our 2 year old to the movies for the first time here at regency 8 in fontana, we thought our experience would be good here since we have heard nothing but good things about this theater, we figured we’d come give it a try since it’s local too, but it was the worst. We came to the 8:15 showtime on Sunday April 23, 2023, we bought the tickets which came out to around $30, we go in to get our seats and watch previews, we figured we’d just go back to get popcorn and snacks once the movie was about to start so that we can enjoy it while the movie goes on, I go back to get myself and my family some snacks at the snack bar, only so that this girl that works there tells me “Sorry we’re closed” like REALLY?! You guys couldn’t have let us know that the snack bar was gonna close at a certain time? What if someone gets thirsty and wants to buy water or hungry and wants to buy snacks during the movie?! There’s literally no sign that says that the snack bar closes at a certain time, I checked the website and nothing either. They don’t even have their hours on the website. I would have at least wanted to get a heads up. I would’ve gotten the snacks sooner if I would’ve known that their snack bar closes earlier. Why have a movie start at 8:15pm if you’re just gonna close the snack bar during the movie? It’s ridiculous. I would’ve wished they’d give us a heads up so that we can get it all beforehand. My son had a bad experience and didn’t even enjoy it so we had to leave 15 minutes into the movie. I’m never coming back here again. What a sad disappointing experience...

Great place to watch a movie for cheap. I've been here many times to get away from the rip-off job that is the bigger theaters in the area. Here's the deal, the thing about those big corp theaters like Edwards or AMC is they have the budget to make their cinemas look big and beautiful. You're not gonna get that here. You get to watch a flick for just under 7 bucks and if you buy a large popcorn and drink, just like the bigger theater chains, you get a free refill. DEAL!

I haven't been there in about a month, but the last time I was there they were renovating the lobby, so that tells me they're trying. The seats are decent and I personally think the staff are friendly. Someone complained about it not having a canopy? Are you crazy? Where have you been to, that a cinema had a canopy outside to block out the sun? Haha, too funny. Now whether or not the person in charge had an attitude about you asking, that's a different story. Again, I have never had customer service issues, but that's no excuse for customer discourtesy even though I think you're being ridiculous about the...

We are new to California and were very disappointed in an experience we had at Regency 8 in Fontana on Valentines Day. We went to watch a 730 movie, prior to going in to the theatre we bought food/snacks at the concession stand.

Finally upon entering the theatre (10 mins before movie was going to start) we noticed the theatre was completely full and there were no seats for us. We immediately notified an employee who called the manager. The manager came and apologized said we could watch the next showing at 1030. We explained that unfortunately that would not be an option for us as we both had work the next morning and only had a sitter until 11. She said she would give us tickets for another day. We asked her if we could return the $38 worth of snacks that we had just purchased and not opened she said no said she couldn't help us there. Unfortunately we were stuck with $38 worth of snacks and no movie to watch. It was the worst experience ever. Needless to say we wont be going back Worst Customer...
