Ono Hawaiian BBQ — Restaurant in Fontana

Long story short, we got food poisoned. And it was resolved today. We (my fianceé and myself) ate here 08/30/2023 at 5:35pm. Walked in and was not greeted, and there was a bad smell in the air, and the floors were filthy around this time. I thought "well mabe it's just an off day", because we heard so many good things about this place. We get our food, and I notice a bad smell. I smell the rice and it smells like a sweaty gym sock, so I don't eat it. I stary eating the chicken and after a while, it started tasting off. So I toss the rest of my food, my fianceé eats all of his food (2 rice balls and his chicken he got). I was feeling a bit queasy on the way home and my fianceé was feeling bloated and having some stomach pain. We get home around 6:30pm. My fianceé is still complaining of stomach pain and it is getting worse. He heads to the bathroom and I follow him, concerned. He gets severe cold sweats all of a sudden and he starts throwing up. Bits and pieces of the undigested food come up with it, he continues throwing up until his face turns red. His stomach got completely emptied and he is in so much pain and just wants to go to bed. So we go to bed, he wakes up at 12am that morning 08/31/2023 moaning in pain, he gets to the bathroom and starts throwing up blood, I had to take him to the ER. They never refunded our money or anything. And the worker up front is a liar, he first tells me "my manager said this.." so I ask to speak directly to the manager, he then tells me "actually, my manager is out right now". So we came back today, and the manager quickly resolved it and...

I love ono Hawaiian but my experience today at the Fontana location off of valley was horrible. Ordered online for delivery today 5/8/2020 at 4:10 pm called location to verify ordered girl answered with an unappreciated attitude. I just wanted to see if they can add 3 sauces per plate and was told “well no only 2” and I said there has never been a limit and I’m not asking for an unreasonable amount and I will pay extra over the phone if needed I just wanted the sauce. She said no that it was too late. I said ok what do I need to do to have extra sauce and was told nothing you can’t have more than 2. I previously worked for ono and I understand people over do it with sauce however I am not one to over do and I was willing to pay. Based on the attitude and overall experience I will not be back to this location. I rather drive a few extra miles for people to treat me like they actually...

I get why they lay all the food on a bed of cut cabbage but there's so much cabbage underneath that it makes the meat bulge out. Making it appear that there's this mountain of meat. My order was a delivery so the dasher had another delivery before getting to me so the Katsu wasn't as Krispy. There's no way to order or ask for additional sauces. So the 1 sauce container they give you with the Katsu is just not enough. They need to add that option onto their online menu. Also they cooked the hell outta the Spare Ribs.
