DON'T SAY ALL THE BAD REVIEWS DID NOT WARN YOU! Being that I am Colombian and drive 1 hr away to Donde Andelas for my birthday every year. This year I was so excited when I found out that there was a Colombian restaurant near me! I had high hopes, even after reading all the bad reviews. You can see reviews on yelp and Google. But unfortunately EVERY SINGLE BAD REVIEW WAS SPOT ON. From the one guy who is the hostess/ waiter being outside with friends and not caring your standing there waiting to be seated, to not getting your drinks, or silver wear. No English at all. I do speak Spanish but the rest of my family does not. No description at all of what comes with your plate, or pics of food on menu. They did take credit card and debit, BUT...my food was COLD! Not one plate but 2 of them. They had no empanadas. But the thing to me is the food. I was willing to pay $25 for a Carne Asada plate, that got brought out cold. In Fontana , you can pretty much go anywhere and get a delicious Carne Asade plate at any of delicious Mexican Restaurants around or even the Salvadorian restaurants. So, sorry not sorry not sorry for the negative review. But I literally feel like I tossed $100 down the drain. It wasn't just the meat. The beans, the pork inside the beans, the rice. It was straight up out of a pan in the fridge that was most likely made sometime earlier (that week) maybe even...? But it was straight pre cooked food from fridge that was placed into microwave. And like when you put to much food on your plate to reheat and it doesn't warm all the way through, thats exactly it. Nothing was fresh, nothing was hot. No aroma of food cooking, no sound of pots or anything going on in back. It was just 100% Shitty all the way around. Im so sad and disappointed. I dont know how they are still in business being that they obviously don't know the restaurant business, treat the customers like they don't want them around, but also because of food compliance laws. They are bound to shut down soon. SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY. There is Pepes Pollo in West Covina, Donde Andelas which to me is by far the best that is located in Orange, and then their is a lady who sells from home, that is local...
Read moreI made a google account to write a review for this place because it’s that BAD. You should NOT come here.
I’m Colombian and I love our food and I came here with my mom to watch the Colombia v.s Bolivia and to enjoy some good food. We asked before hand if they would have the game and they confirmed that they would indeed be showing the game. When we got there, no game was showing and there were only a bunch of Colombia fans looking just as disappointment as we were. When we asked about it they just made a bunch of excuses blaming it on the owner. When the owner showed up he just streamed it from an illegal website where the quality was horrible and unwatchable. It’s embarrassing that a owner isn’t willing to pay PPV to put a good quality game on after lying about having the game on. (I paid the $25 PPV and watched the game on my phone the whole time there)
Food: They told my mom they didn’t serve water because they ran out and the water they did have from the faucet was undrinkable? lol the food was just okay. You can tell the cook in the back knows what she/he is doing but the quality of the meat was just terrible. No one can make that meat taste good. Probably another shortcoming from what I imagine is bad ownership. They also only accept cash or Zelle and they don’t tell you that until after you eat which is great.
Do NOT come here to watch any Colombia games, I would not trust this ownership to do anything right. I feel bad for everyone working there. They’re set up for failure by ownership that does not know what they’re doing. A shame
P.S this is the ONLY one star review I’ve written my whole life. This place...
Read moreSo this is the first time we go to this restaurant and here’s what happened; first, the food took a long time to be taken to our table, even though there wasn’t that many people. Second, the waiter was investing, his time hanging out with his friends outside drinking alcohol in public, which is illegal and there were seven grown adult adults, partaking in drinking beer. Ask yourself how does that reflect on a business especially a restaurant to have a ton of people all men drinking getting drunk in public in front of the restaurant third this place does not allow ATM debit cards or credit cards. Food was not the best. All of it, from the bandeja paisa to the other side dishes. Again, the waiter, instead of getting our sodas asking if we were okay was outside drinking(we saw him)beers outside with all his buddies. Then, when it came to pay the bill, guess what, only cash & Zelle. They don’t accept Apple-pay which is how we always pay. They ended up not charging us the $57 bill. We also had to ask the lady to lower the tv as it was really loud. Oh one last…these men kept going to my car to idk look at it. Made us feel uneasy. Posted a photo of the car as food pics aren’t the best...
