Okay I normally like canes customer service but in other locations but this location I give it a two stars because I have ordered through the drive thru probably 3 times and never had an issue until today May 29, 2019. I was excited that my city was getting a canes and more happy that it was 6 miles away from my home. But was not happy with my experience as a paying customer. Okay, first of all I think the owner or manager needs to re-train their employees a little bit more. I give the drive thru an 8 rating for the quick service but whoever's preparing the orders needs to be more cautious. So here is my complaint with my experience today, I placed my order through the drive thru it's 8:36 PM & I order a box combo with two extra canes sauces I pay for my food and get my order I began to drive home and notice I don't have my 2 extra sauces and I'm missing a chicken strip the combo comes with 4 pieces at first I thought ok no big deal but my order cost me 10 bucks so I grab my order and I'm heading back to canes. But now I'm going in I notice a few employees behind the counter standing and giggling with each other their is a customer ordering her food and so I'm standing their waiting for the girl at the register to finish helping the young girls order while the 3 other employees are behind the counter still talking amongst each other & one of them comes out from the counter passes in front of me giggling no excuse me just passes thru goes to the soda machine gets her soda now by this time the girl in front of me is done ordering but is now talking to the cashier as if they know each other while I'm still standing there waiting for someone to acknowledge me and while other employees are just passing by now I get it they might have not been on the clock but they shouldn't have been standing there. The cashier is talking away with the girl and finally she notices me but this time tells the girl/customer I guess her friend to hold on and says yes so I proceed to tell her what happened and tells me ok she turns towards the kitchen and tells the guy in the back that she needs one chicken strip! so here is where I say that the employees need to be re trained for better customer service. Now, I have work at a fast food joint aka KFC in my teen years and the first thing is you acknowledge the customer, apologize for the mistake get the old order and give the customer a whole new hot order because by now the food is cold but I didn't even get an apology or a hot new order with the correct food. I just got one hot strip in a cold order plus my two extra sauces that cost me .74 cents and still no apology just... here you go. Smh (shaking my head) and of course all the employees are all teens not a older employee in sight. So if this cane's wants to do good job with customer service they need to work on it really bad. Be lucky that I was not a secret shopper because I know that night manager that was on duty would have not been happy with the report. So ya I know what it is to a manager when a secret shopper visits a retail store and gives a report to the owner of their bad experience. From: an...
Read moreI normally try yo write positive reviews and I actually didn't write this the day it happened because I wanted to see if I felt the same way about them after all this time and I will say that I stick to never coming back to this location.
A few weeks ago me and my family were evacuated from our house that almost burned down do to the line fire. Canes is something my family loves but I usually go to the one on Waterman Ave those guys are awesome and know how to treat their customers.
Anyway I always buy 4 Caniac combos all well done with no Coleslaw I always ask for Bobys instead and all large Arnold Palmers with 4 extra bobys and 6 extra cane sauces that's my order all the time I spend over 60 dollars every time I'm there and it's OFTEN well it was until my order was so off the breading had fallen off the bread was not toasted as usual and not butter on both sides (bobys) we were on our way back to asses the damage and stopped by to get food. Although they didn't give me my food how I ordered it they did manage to sneak a large stack of flyers from their promotion in the bag and I mean a thick stack of flyers at least 100 of these flyers.... when I called to complain the manager called me a liar the first person that answered hung up on me when I told them my issue and then the manager came on the phone asking for us to take the food back.
I was very upset as I was already almost home. Running springs is not close to that location I tried to explain that I just wanted to let them know the order was incorrect and was treated like crap by the team and honestly after going through everything with the evacuation it was the last thing we needed we just wanted to get home and enjoy our food and instead made it home with food that was less than usual quality for canes. I'm writing this not to get my money back because it was never about to money. I'm writing this so corporate and people can know the horrible service that this location is providing and management is not really doing their job. This experience was bad enough for me to take a step back wait a bit and still want to come back and complain about it. I will never be back to this location again.....
and just so you see how horrible things are with canes roghtnow take a look at their generic az Reply and Appology they probably didn't even read the complain just copy pasted a generic reply...... no im good.... call you guys for what? To sell myself out for some free food while going against myself for promising never to return because the way i was treated.... nah I'm good you can keep that last bit of money I'll ever spend here. You might get lines of people around the shopping center because of location but this place has horrible management and the quality of the food is less than average for a...
Read moreIt's very good... almost. When this location opened my wife and I had never heard of the chain, but we immediately saw how popular it was. After waiting several weeks for the crowds to die down, we finally tried it out. The best I can say is the food has great intentions.
A short menu usually tells me they focus on making a few things really well (like In-n-Out), and this one was small enough to try it all in one sitting. So here's my review of each item:
Chicken fingers - the meat is juicy and tender. Unfortunately, it lacks seasoning. The breading starts out crispy, but by the time I was halfway through the first one it was already getting soft and somewhat pasty.
Crinkle-cut Fries - hard to get that one wrong. But I can say that about the cheapest frozen bag at the supermarket. Salting them properly should be an easy thing, yet I didn't find any until I got to the bottom. Even then it was just a trace.
Cole slaw - also hard to mess up. Good texture, nicely creamy, but almost none of the sweetness I'm used to. If others like it that way, that's okay with me. It's just a 2 ounce side, so not worth complaining about.
Texas Toast - a dense, fluffy, chewy slice of bread that was made with a lot of love... and then it barely waved a passing "hello" to the griddle. At most half of one side had anything resembling the crispy, buttery texture I expect when it's prepared well. What we ate was really nice bread, but it didn't deserve to be called toast.
Cane's Sauce - the only sauce here other than ketchup, and apparently it's so beloved that you pay for each paper cup of it. Sadly, it tastes like someone hurriedly whipped up a bbq-mayo fry sauce and accidentally knocked the pepper shaker into the bowl. But hey, if you like it, you like it. As for me, the list of flavors I dislike could fit on a gum wrapper, but I'll have to make room for Cane's sauce.
In summary, with just a few tweaks everything could be really, really good. But as-is, Raising Cane's falls short of enjoyable by too far a margin to make a return trip. Clearly others love it so much that they keep coming back and waiting in long lines. The only way to know what you'll think of it is to try it once. But once will very likely...
