Lizard's Thicket Restaurant — Restaurant in Forest Acres

Awful experience just now. I decided to go to lizards thicket for a late dinner and was treated very rudely by the cashier up front. She was mad as soon as I walked in the door, maybe because it was almost closing time I'm not exactly sure. But this was my 2nd visit to this restaurant so I needed a second to look over the menu as I am new to it so tjen I decided to get the small plate and when I did she looked at me like I was pathetic. I decided on the small plate because I struggle to eat because I have severe loss of appetite due to medication I take for depression and anxiety so I have to eat small meals. So then they say they're out of thighs which I ordered the thigh, mashed potatoes, and Mac...so the cook then offers 2 legs since their are no thighs. She says very rudely "oh no give him one" rolling her eyes etc. She treated me very poorly and was very rude. If the small meal is not for adults, do no put for all ages on the menu. Some people can not eat a full course meal. I then got a refund and will not be back. Will be following up with a corporate complaint. This occured Monday April 1st, 2024 at about 8:50pm. I am new to this town and we needed somewhere to go for Thanksgiving. We heard such good things about this restaurant, so we chose here… we got there and sat down and nobody came to even Greet us after 45 minutes.. we thought OK they’re busy we understand until they saw us sitting there and made eye contact and literally served the people that walked in after us before we even got our drinks. I would understand if we were rude or rushing, but we were neither. We still did not get service after an hour so we ended up leaving. It was disappointing. We ended up going to Bojangles and did not get the Thanksgiving dinner that we wanted. I waited to write this review, bc we have been sitting on it and thinking on it. Normally the dining experience at Lizard's Thicket is awesome. I worked for them off and on for about 20 years. I don't anymore though. The Forest Drive location did an awful job on my breakfast order. I asked for an over hard egg sandwich on wheat with bacon and light mayo. What I got was a slimy way under cooked yolky egg, with mayo slathered in excess and some day old bacon. I turned my vehicle around in the middle of Forest Drive and went back there and returned it and requested a BLT on wheat since I didn't have the time to wait for the over hard egg to cook. Bad choice. I should've asked for a refund. The tomatoes were soggy and the bacon was old. I guess it was just a bad day at that location. First time ever I've had a complaint about food in one of their stores. I learned a lesson. Every cook doesn't take pride in their creative process and that I will not return to that...
