If I could give zero stars, I would. I have never in my life had such poor customer service. I Door Dash on the side to help make a little extra money. So I came to this location for a $3 order, which is already frustrating to begin with. Sign on the door says dining room open. I try to go into the lobby to pick up the order - as most restaurants have a pretty efficient door dash pick up method - dining room door is locked. I go around to wait in the astronomically long line of cars. It takes a solid 5 minutes before the customer at the speaker even gets addressed. I decided to pull around to the window to simply ASK what the pick up method for door dash is. At that point I am met by the one employee working, and she could not have been more rude. I politely ask what the door dash pick up process is, as the signs posted indicating the dining room is open, is very misleading. She tells me that I must wait, I even say "should I go back around through the line?" She says to just pull up and she will get it to me. Only THEN, I hear her very obviously and loudly complaining to the customer behind me, about ME! I couldn't believe it. I had never experienced anything like that. The way she acted was so unfortunate. I understand that they were obviously short staffed. However, there are ways to let people know that you are short staffed, or that you're behind. There are ways to talk to customers, as I feel most people are more than understanding these days. Not that Popeyes is the most well run establishment in general, but this was horrible and I know I will absolutely never, ever...
Read moreI work close by and have eaten lunch at the Forest Park Restaurant for years. It used to excellent, but has slipped in the last couple of years. I was there with my daughter and grand son at 6:23 pm on Sunday September 23, 2017. I wanted Cajun rice and there was none to be had. The young man in the blue shirt (I assume he was a manager) told me i needed to pick another side cause it would be a "minute". I said i could wait.. He replied again that it would be a minute and i needed to pick something else. I asked what he meant by a minute and he said 25 minutes because the rice needed to be defrosted. To me this means no one was managing the food. Anyone can run-out because they weren't quick enough, but this place was not in process of replenishing it.
On my way out, I got back in line to buy some rice and the customer in front of me was complainingredient because a cook was walking to the back smoothing his hair down without washing his hands. While blue shirt was listening to the customer he coughed into his hand and then handled food. When I walked out he was laughing and joking with a customer
Bad management, although he was not rude, he was not in anyway apologetic and even seemed a little high to me. Other's have told me not to go to this Popeye's. I have always defended this location...no more.
I only go once every couple of weeks, so they won't go broke without my business. But I live close to the restaurant and talk to a lot of people and my comments...
Read moreCan't say I hated the food. The food is almost always great at this place, fresh and hot every time. However the customer service there is aweful. I am a business owner located nearby on Northland Blvd but go to this location as its the closes and over the past 4 or so months they have put the best attitude employee they have got there. Can't say the name as no badge is ever displayed, but she is in her mid 50's about 5'6"-5'-7" African American. Has the nasties attitude towards all customers. Correcting people, not asking for sides just waiting you you to tell her....just staring.... "combo with no drink is a dinner" ... great I'm here at 12:15 I'd like the dinner please, double checked the menu, no where on there it says dinner. The worst was when I came in with 5 people and all of them had the same aftertaste after ordering their food. There is no "hi" or "be right with you" even though you are ordering tight after someone as they just walk away to make an order or go to the back to pull something...the cashier... really? Just had my coworker order and she walks away for 7 minutes leaving me and 3 more behind me without saying a single word. I would recommend corporate to drop by for lunch a few times without a notice to see this for them selves. I can keep going but it would be easier to just visit the location and see for your self. My exact dates there were on 4/11 and 4/7 at around 12:30 if corporate wants to...
