Carry-Out (4) Dine-In (3): Keep in mind that everyone has different preference; therefore, no chef can please every customer. Best part is, there's absolutely 🚫 No pork or beef on the menu. With that being said .... TURKEY RIBS: 5🌟 👍🏽👍🏽 Totally Tender & Tasty ! Everytime ! GREEN Beans: 4⭐ A bit too juicy but so good. GREENS: 3-4⭐ Sometimes they seem to have more seasoning & spice plus a bit of oil or butter which enhances the flavor of the greens. Then they're a 4 ⭐. MAC & CHEESE: 3-4⭐ My daughter likes it. I only like it when they use sharper cheese. SALMON (?): 1⭐ My friend was expecting yummy, thick, pink, hot & juicy salmon but he was served bland, flimsy, white & rubbery hot-fish! The look, taste & texture was reminiscent to no other salmon that I've ever tasted. I can't recommend it! CHICKEN: 4🌟 Crisp on the outside & moist on the inside. The salmon was replaced by the chicken which made my friend's night. He asked for extra crispy and it was served to his satisfaction. Mashed Potatoes: 3🌟 A bit too smooth & creamy for me but pretty tasty unless half cooked. I prefer mine heavier. My daughter really likes the mashed potatoes. So she traded me for her sweet yam souffle. Sweet Yam Souffle: 3🌟 Too sweet and not a hint of cinnamon, spice or nutmeg. Once I picked out all the pecans it paired well with the mac & cheese. PARKING: 4🌟 The building is easy to see from the street with pleanty of easy parking. However, the entrance is behind Shell gas station which makes the parking lot's entrance easy to miss at night. A little more lighting in the lot would be nice. ATMOSPHERE: ⭐ Corridor: 1 ✨ The light is broken making it much too dark at night. 1 ⭐. Dining Room: 3 ⭐ Chilly at first. When we arrived ( Wed @6pm), about 8-10 people were seated (that nearly doubled in less than an hour). When more of our lovely Black folks arrived the place warmed up quite nicely. I was expecting a friendly, family-style restaurant (ex. a small Cheddar's). What I actually experienced was a friendly but drab pub that happens to serve good Soul-Food. The 🎼 Music is R&B & Rap. Was at a nice volume to hear the person next next to you. Due to the rather racy content of the music, I personally wouldn't bring my children nor my parents here for this reason. The music can get rachet sometimes. I have yet to visit during live band performances. STAFF: 4🌟 Friendly, well groomed & helpful with the menu. 🎟ADMISSISION FREE DINING AREA area: 3⭐ Half apperared to be closed with only the bar side open. The lighting was nicely dimmed for dinning. It looked uninviting and in need of some greenery on the wall, a tree, plants (live or artificial) make it more inviting. Still an ok spot for a good meal. RESTROOMS: 3⭐ The stalls are ultra cramped, the sticky floors need to be stripped. No hot water! DISHES: 3⭐ Almost all of our bowls came out smeared with food. The dishes & water were clean but Presentation Matters ! Band was great! Service, not so much. Got looked over several times by 3 servers to be acknowledged. A table that sat down after we arrived got acknowledged & received drinks. My friend ended up going to the bar to get us some drinks. Over an hour later, we were finally acknowledged by a waitress, Aniyah, thanks to another table that sent her our way. We were still waiting for our food order we placed 30 minutes ago at the time of starting to write this review (I wanted to wait until I was home to give the complete synopsis), & at that point, it was time to speak to management. It took less time to go to the bar to request to speak with the manager. Richard was very nice and listened to my concerns. Aniyah, the young lady who eventually took care of us, was also very nice & apologetic for the delay, as well as being overlooked. She clearly was working very hard trying to take care of several tables at once. And once done talking with management, our food had arrived. Again disappointed as the fries weren’t even hot. The place wasn’t packed as it sometimes is when I’ve visited to see live performances and the service was on point for the most part. I enjoy coming here on occasion to see local bands, and this was the first time I’ve had a not so great experience. I do want to thank Richard for the empathy towards my concerns, as well as for the discount on our food bill. Also, thanks to Aniyah for her kindness. I will continue to come for the live entertainment and hope the next visit will be better.

Update 6/24/25: Thank you to the owner for your reply & taking time to respond. When I visit next time, I certainly hope to be able to leave a more positive review. Again, I truly enjoy your establishment and this one incident does not deter me from returning because I have had great times there and look forward to another visit. To me, this shows that you do care about your patrons & the overall experience you want them to have. I appreciate your comments as well, and will update my rating...
