I normally go to La Fiesta at least twice a month. I find their prices reasonable and their food delicious. For the first time yesterday I decided to sit at the bar and have a drink as I waited on my to go order. I ordered the mango margarita which they were out of but was advised on Saturday's the strawberry and lime margaritas are $4.99. So I ordered that and had both flavors (half and half). The margarita was delicious and strong (they definitely aren't stingy with the liquor in there). I definitely could not finish it before my to go order was ready. So I stayed longer and tackled that.
I ordered the playa burrito which comes with rice and guacamole salad. I always ask for rice and beans which they will do. You also get chips and salsa with your to go order as well. The portion size is good and the food was great as usual. My normal order is the fried shrimp chimichanga, just delicious!
I always get quick friendly service here and would definitely...
Read moreWe were seating in a wide booth which was appreciated, the server cleaned it off for just for us. The service was great, however the food was lackluster. It’s some of the more expensive prices I’ve seen at a Mexican restaurant and the food unfortunately didn’t justify it. We ordered street tacos and chef special (which is usually chicken, rice, and queso anywhere I’ve been) however it wasn’t on the menu so we had to request it by the ingredients. However, we’re served with chicken, rice, and shredded cheese lol. I thought that, along with being served sliced cucumber with tacos was odd. The queso was cold and salsa was very thin. It didn’t seem like a house salsa or queso. The only other issue I had was there being no A/C. Really ruined the experience with it being the middle of June and the fact the building is very small...
Read moreI called ahead and attempted to order two times and was hung up on twice in the middle of the order. I arrived and ordered two chips and salsa and two chips and queso to go, of which they said were about $3.50 each. I was charged about $14, with the receipt only showing my total. They bring out 2 chips and salsa. I ask where's my queso. They said we didn't ring you up for it. They said salsa's $3.50 and a bag of chips are $3.50 and that they didn't hear me order chips and queso. So, I left without queso because I did not appreciate the technically correct but apparent bait and switch.
I have ordered from this place before and have been treated well so am rating 2 stars...
