D&K BBQ in Forks, Washington, left an indelible mark on our lunch experience. The gentleman at the counter, while unable to single out a specific dish due to their all-around deliciousness, did not steer us wrong. Opting for the brisket with sides of potato salad and coleslaw, I found every penny well spent. The brisket was impeccably cooked, a testament to the chef's skill. My boyfriend and daughter opted for the ribs and brisket, respectively, and both were pleasantly delighted with their choices.
The rich, smoky flavor of the brisket lingered on the palate, perfectly complemented by the well-balanced and creamy potato salad and crisp coleslaw. The ribs, tender and flavorful, showcased the expertise in barbecue mastery at D&K BBQ. The portion sizes were generous, ensuring a satisfying and hearty meal.
Beyond the exceptional food, the welcoming atmosphere and friendly service added to the overall positive dining experience. D&K BBQ in Forks, with its commitment to culinary excellence, has undoubtedly earned its reputation for delivering mouthwatering barbecue delights. A must-visit for any barbecue enthusiast passing...
Read moreMy husband and I are visiting from Texas, and we’re intrigued by the claim of Texas BBQ in Forks, Washington. We were not disappointed!! My husband got the 4 meat plate of ribs, brisket, chicken, and sausage with potato salad and beans. I had the pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw and cream corn. I’ll start with his plate- the brisket and ribs were PHENOMENAL. Tender, tasty, and seasoned very well. The chicken and sausage weren’t our personal favorite flavor profiles, but they were cooked as they should be and tasty. The potato salad was like a loaded baked potato in salad form- DELISH. The beans were also very good! The pulled pork on my sandwich was basically PERFECT- no sauce necessary (because it was cooked so well), slightly sweet, and extra tender. The sandwich was huge and the bun was fresh. My cream corn was very good, and the coleslaw was excellent. Coleslaw was interesting, it was sweet with a great tang to it- I really enjoyed it. Very fair prices, $22 for the 4 meat plate and $15 for the sandwich, each came with 2 sides. We’d find the 4 meat plate for around $40 in Texas. Job...
Read moreSweet. Merciful. Lord. The Pit Boss Combo should not be missed. This place should not be missed. STOP THE CAR AND GET OUT AND EAT! WOW... Darel & Kirk deserve a standing ovation. I have had BBQ all over the country but these meats were not on a level I can compare to anywhere! The sausages feel infused with pine like I was eating a smoked forest pork and the smoke ring on the brisket and ribs was outstanding. The sauce texture, while not my favorite, was so unique I couldn't stop eating it. It's not a spicy sauce or rub at all but the herbal remedies present in these meats will cure your weary soul! The Coleslaw is out of this world fresh and delicious but definitely contains Cilantro (which is my jam...but not everybody's.) The chicken 🍗 was not at all what I have come to expect from a BBQ chicken place...it was neither dry nor all sauced up but rather a rotisserie style sultry smooth and delectably moist bird! That bird had a happy happy woodland life and I was grateful to eat it!
All the applause for this place. If you miss...
