We were visiting Forks for a day trip and decided to go here as it was lunchtime. Before actually going in I got this feeling that this won’t be a good idea but wanted to try it anyway.
When we entered we were greeted and seated right away. Few mins later we were served chips and salsa which looked like a salsa but taste enticing like an authentic salsa.
The waitress who sat us down took our orders and after a while waiting the food was served. We got the 4 taco plate with rice & beans. For meat we wanted 3 carne asada and one shredded, for toppings we wanted cilantro, onion & avocado.
The portion size was good for the tacos but not for the beans & rice. Upon scanning the items we see avocado wasn’t on there so we waited to take a bite before requesting some.. a bit while later a second waitress brought us the avocado that I posted picture of. There was no lime as well as it usually comes with Mexican food. We also didn’t want cheese there was still cheese on the beans.
With the first bite my husband andI already regretted coming here as it was confirmed it’s not authentic and has zero taste of authentic Mexican tacos. Meanwhile, I observed other things like cleanliness, organization and customer service. My conclusion is that I have not been so very disappointed of a Mexican restaurant there was no authentic vibe except some decorations and names derived from the food culture. It’s completely ‘Americanized’
Hey if you enjoy bland Mexican food with no aroma and kick then sure this place may be for you. For me, my fellow food lovers and Mexican food lovers don’t waste your money and...
Read moreafter asking for a burrito without cheese, we were brought a burrito covered in cheese. this would've been no problem, and the waitress took it back to be remade. alas, the replacement burrito again contained cheese. when we asked for another burrito, this time actually without cheese, the waitress stood there and said it doesn't have cheese in it, while observing the very obvious cheese. it couldn't have been anything else, it was not a mystery vegetable, it was cheese.
instead of bringing us a burrito, she continued to deny the reality of the cheese and then became quite confrontational, and told us to leave. we insisted that this was indeed, undeniably, cheese, and asked for the burrito we had ordered, and when she denied it again, let her know that responding in this way was poor customer service. she responded with more adamant denial, and then called the cops. over a cheese disagreement. as if our public servants have nothing better to do than come and settle a god forsaken burrito dispute. silly, as there was no threat, and they could have made the situation right, made more money, and retained future customers. their loss ~
we left and will recommend others do not give this establishment your time or money! this particular waitress' customer service is AWFUL and if the owner has any sense, they should fire her and find more competent and honest people to work for them.
additionally, the food was bland and despite asking for verde sauce twice, I never received it....
Read moreI'm really confused as to how this place has high ratings. The interior is dingy and run-down. The service was as uninspired as the decor, as we had to stand for a minute to get the hostess to look up, then she mumbled for us to wait. Unfortunately she was also our server. Took another five minutes to get water, then add five to get orders taken. When we started to get our food, 3 of the 5 orders were wrong, and she wanted to argue with us. The creme looked like canned nacho cheese and she brought the plate with her thumb firmly in the rice on the plate. I offered to pay for the margarita (which was all cheap mix, no tequila) so we could leave. There were only three other tables with people so this was not a busy time...yet the above scenario took 30 minutes after we ordered to...
