We decided to run and grab dinner tonight thinking it would be quick, and went to Huddle House in Forney.
After an hour of waiting, the food finally came out. Their were only 3 tables that were the eating before us.
I ordered a biscuit and gravy and got a sausage biscuit with hash browns, eggs and gravy poured all over the hash browns, none on the biscuit.
My daughter ordered a cheeseburger. Instead, she got a bun and a burnt piece of meat. No cheese, no mustard, no veggies, and cold fries.
My son ordered blueberry pancakes. They came out greasy and no butter or syrup. They had been cooked with my husband’s steak and were soaked in meat grease.
My husband ordered a t bone steak with eggs. They brought out this piece of skirt steak and eggs and that is supposedly a t-bone.
The manager was not there, and the poor waitress was brand new. The “lead” came over and admitted that they do not have “t bone steaks” but that’s what is advertised and is shipped to them and basically, it is what it is.
She asked me if there was anything she could do to make it right. I told her I wasn’t paying $12 for a “t bone” steak that is not at all what was brought out and she should comp that especially since EVERYTHING was messed up.
She admitted they only had one cook who was training (it was her) and the pancakes were cooked with the steak.
She called the manager. He suggested to give me 10% off the bill and get me out of there.
At this point, we waited another 30 mins for the bill to be adjusted and after asking repeatedly for the bill so we could go, the lead kept sending the poor teenager waitresses over to tell me to wait.
I finally got the bill after being there over 2 hours at this point, all hungry because we didn’t eat this garbage, and this is how they made it right. A $2 discount.
Thanks #huddlehouse for the amazing...
Read morePlenty of good home cooking. Great breakfast. Very attentive wait staff. Very clean. Always a great place to meet with friends. I know usually about once a month in with the supermarket ads we getting the mail, Huddle House sends out coupons which makes their meals very affordable for Young families, singles, or those on a fixed income. Not a lot of restaurants think about that anymore. Everyone wants to go up in price. Put new trendy things on the menu so they can charge the extra price. However, some of us just want it enjoy a meal with our friends or be able to take someone out to lunch without breaking the bank. Also, sometimes single people just enjoy going to a restaurant and being able to afford to eat a meal out instead of having to go through a drive-thru! Huddle House has good food, good selection, great breakfast items- can you tell I love eating breakfast out?- the wait staff is nice and they don't rush you. If I go with someone, we can always hear each other talk. However, if you're a business person or someone that just wants to get in and out and has to have certain specific dietary items on the menu, this might not be the place for you. Young families needing to stretch their money, singles just wanting to be able to eat out and not feel like you're in a fishbowl, or people on a fixed income also wanting good food but at an affordable price, Huddle House has you covered! They have gone to only being open 24/7 on Friday's and Saturdays, FYI....
Read moreAbsolutely terrible. First off, we weren't greeted when we walked in, we were waved over from across the restaurant by a waitress who had a very poor attitude. She was about 15 feet in front of us before she just tossed some menus on a table and walked away as if we knew exactly where we were being seated. She came back 5 minutes later and asked us what we wanted to drink and immediately we knew that she wouldn't know what table-side manners were if they hit her in the face. The food was about a 3/10. The only reason we got the waitress's name, which was Mary btw, was because the cook yelled out her name when our food was done. The entire time we waited for our food, all we could see was her sitting down at a table in the back of the restaurant coughing, sneezing, and blowing her nose without washing her hands once. When we got our food, she didn't ask us if we needed anything additional, she just went to her purse in plain sight and grabbed a cigarette, put it in her mouth and walked out the back door. Needless to say, I do not recommend this place to anyone. Go to Nina's Brunch just around the corner. It's a world of...
