The service is great, the staff are polite, the food is fresh and delicious, the wait time is between fast to normal wait times.
The ramen is always delicious, I prefer the tonkotsu but they also have a vegetable ramen available for those who don’t like meat with every meal.
Personally, I enjoy the bento box. I overheard another customer laugh at me because the bento box is “so much food.” But she doesn’t really understand why I like the bento box options.
Traditional Japanese meals consist of many small prepared dishes with a variety of flavors that equal up to a normal amount of food for one meal. It’s supportive in that you get to eat many different types of things in one meal rather than being limited to one big meal with the same flavor throughout. The bento is a real treat and you deserve to treat yourself. With the bento box you get miso soup (warm and good for gut health), spring rolls with dipping sauce (sweet flavor), kimchi (sour flavor), two gyoza dumplings (salty flavor), a sushi roll (fresh produce flavor) with pickled ginger (pickled flavor) and wasabi (the wasabi is on the mild side), and then a bowl of white rice with your main dish on top. It’s so much fun to go back and fourth with many different flavors. The Katsudon is SO GOOD. I was really impressed with the tenderness of the Katsudon, my teeth are not in the best shape but I never had to fight when biting through the meat. It’s well prepared. However, if you are really watching your health and avoiding fried foods I would advise the grilled shrimp or chicken bentos instead. The eel bento is very tender and savory as well. I can never finish all of my bento because the main dish is very large. 😋 But that’s ok for me because we are a leftovers culture anyway, and you can take home what you can’t finish.
Come here for lunch, they have lunch specials and added new hibachi meals. My husband is a real hibachi enthusiast and he really liked the shrimp and chicken hibachi meal. The veggies are perfectly cooked! The shrimp is HUGE and the chicken is so flavorful!
PS Try the A16 appetizer. I forgot what it’s called but it’s a spicy fresh tuna appetizer served on a bed of fresh greens. Somehow they managed to make it spicy without hurting your mouth, it just leaves your body feeling slightly warm. There’s something nostalgic about the feeling but I can’t quite put my finger on describing what it reminds me of. What I like about it is that it is very light on your stomach so you can enjoy the flavor and still have room for your meal when...

I had such a great experience here! Walking in, the first thing I noticed was how comfortable the temperature was—especially on a hot day outside. The cool, crisp air was such a relief, and it instantly made the atmosphere welcoming. The décor is super cute and eye-catching, which adds a fun vibe and makes it a place I’d definitely want to come back to, maybe even to celebrate my birthday in the future.
The menu has so many great options, and I loved the portion sizes. It’s nice having enough to take home for later. We ordered a variety of dishes, but my favorite was the rice bowl—it had amazing flavor and was such a satisfying portion. Even my son, who can be picky with certain ingredients, really enjoyed it, which says a lot!
The staff surprised us by bringing out a complimentary dessert for my son, which was very sweet of them. We usually try to limit sweets, so next time I’ll probably ask them to hold off, but it was such a thoughtful gesture.
Service throughout the meal was excellent. The team was attentive, kept our drinks full, and made sure everything went smoothly. I also love that the restaurant offers different seating options—from the bar if you’re solo, to cozy booths and tables for groups. The whole atmosphere is so inviting, and I feel lucky this spot is close to home....
Read moreLack of Flavor & Authenticity: Was excited to see a ramen spot open in East Texas. Read reviews prior and was already hesitant, but couldn’t knock it before trying it. Food prices were very expensive when it did not need to be. We ordered the miso tonkotsu and black garlic ramen - literally the ingredients tasted like it was from down the road at the Kroger. I did not eat much of my food cause the noodles didn’t even have a good flavor along with the broth, and eating the corn just tasted like it was fresh out the can (nothing wrong with canned corn but at least dress it up a bit for a ramen dish). Also don’t advertise an egg in the ramen dish when it’s only half an egg, that didn’t even marinate long enough. My bowl was barely half full, and I poured some soy sauce to give it some kick when our waiter came around and asked if we wanted any sauces but my bowl was almost close to done - wrong timing on that question since he did serve our dishes and should of asked that question at the beginning not at the end of the meal. Not trying to bash a new restaurant but if you are going to have a popular Asian cuisine, but more effort in it for it to taste that way - especially there are plenty of other options in the Dallas area (and Rockwall) to make the trip worth it - for both price...
