TLDR: Manager modified receipt totals after we left and effectively stole our money.
The food is almost always amazing. The staff seems to rotate somewhat regularly or at least when we previously frequented 1-2 times a month we always experience a new server.
Today will mark our very last visit after the staff displayed a complete lack of integrity.
I asked for my entire party’s bill on one ticket. Total was $149.28. I paid $150 in cash and left a tip on top.
One member of my party did not realize I had paid and he went to the front desk to pay his tab after we had all boxed up our leftovers. He was charged $23.80 by the hostess. While chatting on the way to our vehicles we realized his meal had been paid for twice so my husband went back in to make the correction. The manager on duty was condescending and rudely explained what happened was that the card transaction had been processed in the system before the cash and that they could not refund the difference. (I personally think it’s common etiquette to ask a cash paying customer if they would like their change- this server never verified that the additional money was for her. She just disappeared in the back and we didn’t see her again.)
At this point I had already left the establishment and was so disappointed when my husband relayed what the manager had said. This was a simple mistake and should have been an easy fix. I called back and asked for the manager. I sat on hold for exactly 5 minutes before hanging up and calling back. When I finally reached the manager she had a whole new convoluted version of events and somehow our new bill totals were $148.07 and $28.08 due to the application of an auto gratuity that was not on our original receipts. The only logical conclusion I can come to is that his meal was removed from my bill and then the auto gratuity was applied to make up the difference to try and cover up the staffs’ mistake.
$148.07 (new total) - $22.59 (new added gratuity) = $125.48
$125.48 + 23.80 = $149.28 (original total on the first ticket that I paid in cash)
Math doesn’t lie, but the manager at Thai.Pho certainly does.

Read moreOkay let me get the bad part out the way. My husband and I wanted to try a new restaurant in the area. So we chose Thai.pho. But first, we grabbed coffee at Dutch Bros up the street. We walked in, and some lady came up from the back, since the host was on the phone. We asked for a table for two, and she said, “Okay, and let me grab a paper bag for your drinks.” We followed her to the table and she disappeared. Thirty seconds later she came back with two giant paper bags, and proceeded to put our Dutch Bros drinks in them. I told her it was ridiculous and she insisted it was the owner’s rule. I said, “we can still drink from them though?” She reluctantly said yes, and tried to justify the rule by saying “I’m sure lots of restaurants don't want you to bring outside drinks in,” to which I responded, “I have literally taken drinks into many different restaurants and never ever had a situation like this.” She walked away and our waitress came over. I’m glad we didn’t walk out, like we were thinking, because the rest of the experience was very good; and, we definitely kept drinking our coffees. Our waitress, Gabby, was amazing. She was very sweet, and attentive and just took excellent care of us, in spite of our less-than-warm initial welcoming. The food was also fabulous. I got the lemongrass chicken. Husband had a chicken curry. We also had an appetizer of pork dumplings. Food was 10/10. Gabby was 15/10. Lady who seated us, 0/10. And idc if she’s just following the owner’s rules. That’s a stupid rule. If she had been our waitress we probably wouldn’t have stayed. But yeah, definitely try this place out, and please be sure to always bring an outside beverage until they change this idiotic rule. Also, there was no signage about outside beverages. Had there been, we just would have gone somewhere else, as I didn’t want to just leave them in the car. But don’t put peoples’ drinks in paper bags if you aren’t up front about not allowing them....
Read moreGreat food, awesome menu, friendly and attentive staff. Great for families, singles or couples. One of my favorite restaurants in Forney.
Local Thai food is the best here!!
If you have kids, they may like the baby pho or meatballs from the kid's menu. Otherwise the bbq ribs plate is a hit with my kids. The adults typically get Pho,Curry or something new and different we haven't tried yet.
The ice cream macaroons are wonderful and full of flavors. -Our favorite dessert. Bonus the Joy Macaroons are Gluten Free.
When we are sick,we always enjoy Pho. The broth and rice noodles are very gentle and soothing on a sore tummy. :)
They do take reservations as well, for if you have a large group or want to make sure you get a table. I have called and made reservations a few times now.
This is a relaxing, calm atmosphere with a normal wait time for your food to be cooked hot and fresh to order.
If you want it to go,they have this option available. You can place your order in person or on the phone.
Update 10/20/20- I am happy to say that the menu has been added to and expanded since my last visit. There are some new items for the regular menu as well as the kids menu. My kids enjoyed trying the Thai Cheese Fries and they were very impressed.
Thai sweet tea is one of my favorite treats to get on occasion.
They now have flavored boboa to add to drinks.
They have expanded thier drink menu for many yummy family friendly drinks. (Teas, milkshakes, ect.)
