My family and I went to this restaurant today for my birthday and I have to say we are leaving all very unimpressed. We were there for 30 minutes before our server took our entree order. We put in appetizers and finished them and the girl still had not taken our entree order. Our drinks sat empty for most of our visit and it was rather hot in the building. The food took 45 minutes to reach our table. When the food came it was obvious some had been sitting under the heat lamp for an extended period of time. The salmon was hard on top and dry inside and the rice was clumpy, however the bourbon glaze was really good. My husband had the burger ordered medium and it came out extra well and dry. The fries were fantastic though. I had the lamb ordered rare and they came out three different temperatures and not one of them was rare. I enjoyed the pepper jelly and the potatoes with it. I also traded the green beans for asparagus which were also yummy. My father ordered the chicken pasta and they brought out hen (I understand they are both chicken but they have two separate dishes) he didn’t want to have to wait again for the correct dish so he kept it. He did say the hen tasted really good though. The staff may need some additional training. At the end the ticket process took 10 minutes. She brought over a little screen and started reading off was on it to us and when it was incorrect she had to go to the back to have somebody fix it. When she came back she read it out again and then said the total out loud which isn’t a big deal but a little strange. After the hour and a half- two hour dinner we were just ready to leave. I wish all the luck to this business and I know they are brand new. I hope next time we come they will have had time to work...
Read moreFirst time trying this place, and have seen all the good looking food on social media. Went on a Thursday night and walked in and was sat down right away. The sun was setting and ended up right in our face. There were blinds that could have been closed but didn’t ask so didn’t get closed. Our waiter was very nice and attentive. The duke cocktail was very tasty and had the boudin balls for an app, they were delicious. But unfortunately that’s where it all went down hill. My wife ordered the chicken Caesar salad which she said was very tasty. I got the surf and turf, I got my ribeye medium rare bc that’s the only way to eat it. But when it came out it was pretty much rare. It had a lot of flavor from all the spices but the cook was all wrong. It was rare and brown so it was not the freshest of cuts. This came with mashed potatoes that were ok but I could cook better ones. I substituted the green beans for the asparagus and they were good and crunchy as they are fried. They did redeem themselves with their bread pudding which was very good, but did seem to be just warmed up. The price for the quality just wasn’t there for me. But I do hope this gives some feed back and they are able to fix something’s.
Side note for this to be a nicer place to eat there’s needs to be some attention payed to the decor. There were a lot of little things not finished. Like the inside of the booths at the top were unpainted and unfinished. The ceilings in the bathrooms were unpainted and unfinished as well. The clear plexiglass over the beautiful brick walls in the bathroom and exposed white PVC plumbing lines might need to be addressed. It’s the little things that...
Read moreThe location is beautiful. It would be a nice event center/rental space for events. The price point is a little high and I saw some mixed reviews. The food was ok. I also purchased desert which I shouldn't have when the strawberries didn't look fresh on the cheesecake . The deserts purchased were dry and did not taste fresh at all. There was a little girl on the kitchen area which wasn't a big deal but one of the women touched the little girl school uniform with the same gloves they were prepping food wearing. And never changed them. And they add a automatic 20% gratuity on to go orders. I understand orders for dining in but take out, not so much. Almost $4 for a child size to go cup, I was honestly shocked. I was so excited to finally be able to try this place and with more positive reviews than not felt a level of confidence in mh dining experience. I was finally in the area and waited until they opened just to try it. And perhaps I caught them on a bad day. The only thing I can truly commend about this place is the Ambience and the hostess customer service. Since there are so many reviews mine may not matter , but just wanted to share my experience.
Update: Improving my review because I appreciate the owner going above and beyond to correct my experience. Great customer service is a rarity today. But goes a very long way. I respect her passion for her business and appreciation for her customers.
Best wishes in...
