Dunkin' — Restaurant in Fort Collins

This incident happened Wednesday, July 17th of 2019 at 12:30pm. Me and my girlfriend at least now were regulars, so we always know our total before going up to the window and vocalize it before pulling up. I used to manage in fast food and we try to be those cool regulars that try to put a positive undertone for the rest of the crew. As we pulled up to the window, the shift lead asked us to not do that, which is fine, but said that it's apparently rude? (We had a regular at Wendy's that did the same thing and just wanted to keep that positive influence going). I called at about 12:45, and ask to speak to a manager. So I ended up talking to the shift lead, who said that they turn down their headsets whenever we pull up, that we are rude and annoying, and to never come back again. She wouldn't give me her name, and also mentioned that whoever is driving the car has to order. My girlfriend has social anxiety, so I order for her everywhere we go. This is unacceptable performance by all means. This is not proper customer service that you as the customer should receive no matter how annoying you may be. You can't take your emotions out on your customers for any reason. She also refused to mention how to contact the General Manager, or when they worked next because she knows that she was in the wrong of that transaction. This is not within Dunkin Donuts intention and is a horrible representation for this location, let alone the company. I've worked in food service for 7 years and have NEVER experienced this level of rudeness as a customer or within my own employees. This is bad business that I can no longer support the paychecks of. That's not okay no matter how one sees it. GM, if you see this I will respond with my phone number. Your shift lead is very disrespectful and also lacks quality control of your iced coffees as the sugar is always clumped on the bottom. I'm more upset about her attitude as you probably are, too. She has brown straight hair, about 5'8 and I believe may have earrings but not 100% sure. As for customers who may see this review, make sure whoever is driving orders because apparently a passenger ordering really...

So this trip will be the trip that causes us to not come back for a very long time. I'm going to start by saying it a shame, because the staff is pretty friendly. To start my daughter and I decided to eat inside. Orders here always take a long time, don't come if you're in a hurry. We ordered assorted munchkins. What we got was all plain, with barely any glaze. The glazed didn't even cover 1/5 of the donut hole. The heart shaped donuts were lite on frosting, compared to other trips. Then we placed a "to go" order, to bring stuff home for the rest of the family. The app wouldn't allow me to add free bagel minis, because it was ordering more than one. It would show free, then as soon as I added more it would charge me. My cold brew had no foam. In the past, I would have been told if they ran out and given the option to keep or not. When we got home our dozen donuts only had 10 in the box. And again the donut were barely frosted, and sloppy. It seemed whomever made all the donuts that day didn't care. I've excused a lot of little things with this location over the last year and a half. It has been over 2 years since I received my customized dozen of donuts accurately. And I've gone dozens of different times through the day, thinking that was the problem. Why allow people to choose exactly what donuts they want if you can ever fulfill the order. Simply state...assorted dozen donuts will be filled to whatever is on hand. It's disappointing to customized and get home to find that a quarter of the donuts are filled, and no one in the house eats filled donuts. So this is very sad for me. I grew up in Wyoming and my highlight every other weekend was Dunkin donuts. They're going to have to step up their game...Krispy Kreme is breaking ground this month or next. We had a wonderful experience here today. The staff here was unbelievably kind, friendly, and patient. We had never been to a Dunkin before, and my husband called to ask some questions and the man who he talked to on the phone was extremely kind. Once we showed up, we could tell by the voice it was the same guy and he was just so kind. (Maybe he’s the manager, I’m not sure) We brought our toddler in, and we ordered some breakfast sandwiches and donuts. They were friendly to our son and to us. He even gave us some free little donuts because it was our first time in. The place was really clean, and the staff seemed to be happy and hard working and enjoying their job and enjoying being around their coworkers. They were so kind and the man who I think may have been the manger gave us some extra freebies, besides the donut holes as we were enjoying our late breakfast. Regardless of the fact that we got a couple extra freebies, we really enjoyed our experience and would willingly come back just because of the service. The staff truly went above and beyond. They were cleaning while we were there, they were just literally on top of everything. It was actually slow at that time and they made the most of it!! The woman who was on the drive thru whom I could hear was also being just as kind to her customers. This is what customer service is all about. As a former industry worker whose worked everything from dive bars to ultimate fine dining, I would want the whole staff on my team. Thank you for today Dunkin on College...
