Seeminly not kid friendly. Employee was not ok with my child holding a guitar, even with 2 adults supervising him. Told us it was 'too nice' and redirected us to a wall with guitars priced the same amount. Really discouraged him and we felt too uncomfortable to continue shopping and left. Post signs to not touch or ask for assistance if you have this problem. We'll continue my son's musical journey elsewhere.
Edit: i was only just notified of your response. My friend and I are baffled that you're saying we would talk about smashing a guitar. Especially after stressing to my son that we have to be gentle and careful with them. That is digisting. I handed him the guitar because that was one of the ones that caught his eye because it was in his favorite color. Imagine that, someone liking the color of a guitar and choosing their first one because of that. We also did not immediately walk to the back of the store. We looked at symbols, then bass guitars. My son was in a wagon because he had a broken leg and couldn't walk. Which meant that guitar was on his lap, in a safe position, again surrounded by adults. I didn't want any help by your other staff because we felt uncomfortable, as I stated before. My friend was looking for the things he was looking for. They were not the same thing that my son and I were looking for. It's ok, though, because my son and I purchased a $1200 guitar at a different location, and he's been taking his lesson seriously as well as taking very...
Read moreCalled ahead to verify they still had a speaker cabinet I wanted. They confirmed it was there. I told them that I was on my way to buy it. 45 min and 35 miles later they called me back to say it sold. They could have at least called me to be sure I was going to buy it, which I was. Once they realized their mistake, They could have offered a gift card or something to make it right (compensate for time and gas wasted), instead of ME having to prompt them. I won't go back, even though they apologized. I won't waste another 2 hours of my time to make the round trip. They have my number if they want to set it right.
In response to your reply, Brandon: What is disingenuous is claiming that you offered compensation. I ask for it. You did not offer it. That is why I left the review after our conversation. So, you are not only lousy with the way you treat customers, you are also dishonest. Make it right and I'll deleted the review. At least make an effort. Also you did not reach out to me; I called you guys back. ..Just to help you with the facts, which you seem to have tried twist to favor yourself.
I won't be back and I will steer everyone I know away...
Read moreI do not recommend this store. I have been a faithful customer for many years and tried to support local business, however this particular Music Go Round is by far the worst. I have brought in guitars and basses that I have played for years only to be told they have warped necks or something else is wrong with them. I have brought these same instruments to either Guitar Center (Fort Collins/Arvada)or the other two Music Go Rounds in Denver (Littleton specifically) and they had no issues and said all they needed was a little set up. While the owner is a good guy, the manager is completely un-knowledgeable and very rude. Also, their return policy is completely different from the other Music Go Rounds only allowing 7 days and in store credit only, and while they claim it's stated everywhere it is not musician friendly as sometimes we need more time to see if equipment is going to work for us. Guitar Center is a much more musician and user friendly store, and I would highly advise taking the trip to the other locations to be...
