Taco John's — Restaurant in Fort Collins

Here's what I found out about this particular Taco John's and the Taco John's in Loveland Windsor and Greeley.

They are all ran by the same regional manager this regional manager has no respect for her employees I watched her while I ate and I heard her interviewa person who was coming into interview for just a regular job she offered them the general manager position at horsetooth then I further overheard the employee that was working at this Taco John's the working manager tell this person they're hiring you as a GM but you're really only just a regular employee they're going to expect you to work 80 hour work weeks without overtime and because you're grateful and you want the title of general manager and the access and you have all the responsibilities they're going to overwhelm you and then they're going to rob your bank they do this to all the new general managers. And when I asked the manager about it I said I just overheard you talking to this person about this. Why are you still working here and she said because I'm kind of stuck my rent is due in one week and I need my job and at least I'm getting hours I'm only making $17 an hour as a general manager I don't get overtime but I get all of the hours and that in itself pays my bills so yes I'm getting railroaded but it's better than nothing and it's hard to get a job but harder to get as many hours as I'm getting.

The reason that I'm writing this is because I got food poisoning from the food that I was eating there.

We waited 30 minutes to get our food and the manager was the only employee there working she was running the registers for the drive-thru for the dining room and she was putting the food together there was nobody else there and when I asked her about it she said that her employees don't show up and they train you as a general manager to be able to operate the entire store by yourself.

That's a requirement she said.

All this while the regional manager sits in the lobby observing and Typing on her computer while her employee flounders.

It blew my mind. I'm not going to give you her name because she was working so hard all by herself and I can't be mad at her for the food poisoning cuz I'm sure there's a pile of dishes back there that she couldn't get to the place was dirty fingerprints everywhere it was pretty gross but I had paid for my food and I felt bad for her now I feel bad for me.

So there you have it folks I was in fort Collins on horsetooth next to the mall and now I can't go to work because I'm so sick from eating tacos with no lettuce and lots of sauce very little meat but lots of sauce and I think that the the sauce might have made me sick.

Thought about not leaving this review but I looked at the other reviews and I decided it's my responsibility to leave what I heard and...

Since i've been going here, I have had to wait much longer then normal. First time show up at drive through after 7am. No one is there at all. I sit in the parking lot for about 45 mins and finally a man comes flying in and they open. I go through drive through and wait some more for my online order. Don't even get a apology...This is Oct 20th I think. Next visit I order at drive throgh early morning, notice I have a reward for a free kids meal with any purchase try to use it they tell me they don't have a breakfast kids meal I guess kids don't eat breakfast fine go through the drive-through takes me forever to get there and when I get up there my amount is more than what I usually get so ask the girl why am I amount is so much and she explains what I get when I said well what did I order for The Potato Place has its has a different can I see what sizes you have she really goes over and grabbed all sizes just me every single one of them which I didn't ask for I just wanted to know what sizes they had and realize I want medium not large. So she rudely slam the window and both until everybody I change my order to a medium her attitude completely sucked and I left I mean if you're having that bad of a day maybe you need to stay home don't take it out on your customers. Then on my way to work tonight I stopped there it was a quarter till 10 it was busy I guess 4 cars but it took me till 10:10to get through the drive-thru. And I was late for work so needless to say it's not a very good 3 experiences and I don't think I would be going back to this one I think I will drive to the other side of town and try that no one seems to really...

Last 3 times I went to the horsetooth location I was turned away. In November I bought 2 $25 gift cards. One card was for my elderly father who lives down the street. The employee at the time did not know how to run the gift card and my dad said the manager was too busy to check the value on the card. My dad called me to see if I still had a receipt to prove that the card was active . I couldn’t believe the manager turned him away so I called and to my amazement yes the manager told me he had too many orders and did not have time to run the gift card for my dad. January 26th I went in my work truck that could not fit in the drive through and they didn’t have the lobby open. It was around 11 pm . I called the store and asked if I could use the restroom and how was I to place an order. The young employee said they couldn’t open the lobby due to short staffing. Most of the time this store is fairly dry with business, a car pulled up and the employer said I could order with that customer and walk through the drive through. It made no sense so I left. Today I pulled up and there was one car in the drive through parking lot empty . I waited about a min for a response through the drive through when an employee says through the inter one to “take a minute to review the menu and he would check back in with me” . I told him I was ready to order when he said he needed a moment I waited another couple min and I pulled forward that same car was still there and I waited another 3 mins until I decided...
