Absolutely Disgusting â Avoid at All Costs
First and definitely last time ordering from Greek Guys Souvlaki. I ordered a spread of supposedly âtraditionalâ Greek dishes through Uber Eats: two gyros, hummus with pita, spanakopita, and a skepasti. Every single item was an unappetizing disaster.
Letâs start with the gyros â the meat was utterly flavorless, rubbery, and packed with gristle. I took one bite and immediately spat it out. The fat and cartilage were literally coagulating in the meat. Disgusting. The skepasti wasnât any better â the flavor was aggressively sharp and once again filled with the same low-grade, fatty, gristly meat.
The spanakopita? Completely inedible. Sour, bitter, and somehow managed to taste like it had been sitting out for days. As for the hummus and pita â dry, bland, and depressing.
Honestly, youâre better off getting a gyro from Miami Subs, and thatâs saying something.
This place is an absolute culinary catastrophe. Greek Guys Souvlaki should be ashamed to call this food. A total waste of money and a stomach-turning experience. Avoid like the plague.
Update in response to owner's reply:
Your reply is not only dishonest â itâs an embarrassing attempt to deflect from the real issue: the quality of your food.
Letâs get a few facts straight:
I never spoke to anyone at your restaurant. This was an Uber Eats order. How exactly was I ârude to your staffâ if I never interacted with a single person?
I never demanded a refund. Thatâs a complete fabrication. I left a review â as Iâm entitled to â after receiving food that was literally inedible.
I spat the food out and threw it away. So no, I didnât âeat itâ as you falsely claimed.
The 1-star rating was left specifically for food quality â not service or atmosphere. I never experienced either. The best part of this entire experience was the Uber Eats driver â and he was tipped well.
Your response, much like your food, is a false representation of quality. And frankly, itâs no surprise youâd fabricate a narrative â much like you apparently fabricate your meats.
Instead of taking responsibility, you chose lies and projection. That says everything customers need to know about your standards â or...
Read moreWe had been eyeing Greek Guys Souvlaki in Fort Lauderdale for months, eagerly awaiting its opening. However, after moving away from the area, it somewhat slipped our minds. On a recent visit back to the vicinity, curiosity got the better of us, and we decided to check if it had finally opened. We were thrilled to find that it had.
Our experience at Greek Guys Souvlaki was nothing short of fantastic. The service truly set the tone for a memorable meal. Both the owner and the main chef were incredibly welcoming and personable, making us feel right at home from the moment we stepped in. The chef went above and beyond by customizing our order to accommodate my wife's vegetarian preferences, a gesture we greatly appreciated.
The food itself was excellent â flavorful, satisfying, and reasonably priced. It's worth noting that this isn't your typical fine dining Greek establishment. Instead, it's the perfect spot for a quick, delicious meal without the fuss, which is exactly what we were looking for.
Given our positive experience, we strongly recommend Greek Guys Souvlaki to anyone in Fort Lauderdale looking for a tasty, no-frills Greek meal. The combination of great service, customizable menu options, and reasonable prices makes it a standout choice for a quick bite. We're certainly glad we rediscovered it and plan to return whenever we're...
Read moreOverall itâs an average Greek Resturant . Dishes are small regardless what is order and above average cost for the amount given to eat . Quality of food is better in the meats than compared vegetables , salads and sides . Place is clean but tiny . Typical blue and white colors that many Greek Restaurants have . To have the best quality dine and small portion . They seem to run into issues when they have many orders to prepare as everything is made to order and they become overwhelmed . I would not do any catering as this is where the quality becomes very poor such as uncooked vegetables are given or presentation of the food is not present . To eat any food it has to look appealing and be yummy . This places falls below the market for that . The staff is very pleasant and hardworking but you can see they are very much scared of their boss ( owner ). As a previous customer he was hostile and a bit of bully . For the reason of quality , price , taste and behavior of ownership I will no longer be a customer or recommend people to this...
