Sushi House 스시하우스 — Restaurant in Fort Lee

I have decided to revise my review from a five-star rating to one star. This sushi place has been our preferred restaurant for the past 15 years, and we have enjoyed our experiences there. The previous owners consistently made us feel valued, whereas the new management/owner lacks a customer friendly mindset.

We consistently order their lunch special every Friday. They repeatedly made mistakes with our orders, forgetting items like miso soup, seaweed salad, providing L5 tuna roll & 5 tuna sushi instead of L2 spicy tuna roll and 7 sushi. We didn’t make a big deal about the issues, hoping for improvements, but today was my breaking point.

When I tried to place my usual order online, their system kicked me out. When my husband called the restaurant, they informed him that the lunch special time had been changed from 3:00pm to 2:30pm. Despite being regular customers, they declined to accept our order.

About a year passed after this original review, but this place still be a way off from its original sushi quality. Yes the ingredients are fresh, but the way sushi done is just not pleasing. And the regular rolls are just a same as it would be in all you can eat buffet type place so it’s is far away from real sushi place. Even the H Mart sushi are better done. Sorry, but for food it’s is only two stars.

Unprofessional and Rude. My previous positive recommendation for this place was based on my interactions with the previous owners. The newer people who run the place, specifically the owner is RUDE if there is a problem. They don't or won't speak English unless it is to yell at you which was my experience yesterday when they got my order wrong and I refused to accept it unless it was made correctly. The owner, an older man literally came out from behind the counter and yelled for me to "get out!" They have a young female who does speak English to deal with customers and she can't seem to handle simple requests that require a minor accommodation. Stay away !
