Terrible service. Tried to purchase from here - ordered through their system online to scan the QR code. Paid fully, got the receipt through text and e-mail and showed the people in front that I paid fully and my bank account had processed payment and it got taken out of my checking account. They were going to make the food since I was waiting there close to 30 minutes until I finally approached the front since it looked busy and I didn't want to be "that" customer to ask and annoy the staff. The manager comes up and says that they didnt receive the order for some reason and they have to double charge the account in order to make the food! I refuse, saying look here are all the receipts, the order number, and my bank account showing the charge. He refuses to proceed further and makes me feel like I'm trying to scam the place.
Will never go here again. Completely unreasonable way to proceed after I was completely cordial just being patient waiting while everyone who ordered after me got what they ordered. To add to that, the charge still is there and they refuse to refund me the money after not even receiving what was ordered. Awful awful...
Read moreBorrowed from a Western concept and modernized into a new level of versatility, this establishment started thousands of miles away on the shores of Japan. Located on Main Street in Fort Lee, T Swirl is actually named for the instrument that crepe-makers use to apply batter to the crepe pan, which is shaped like the letter T. It is also our go-to place for Japanese crepes, where my partner, our visitors from out of town and I came last Sunday. From the outside, plastic mock-ups of the crepes are arranged in rows in the window, each in a glass bubble. Greeted by the staff at the register when one begins to order. Their menu incorporates savory and sweet flavors with fresh fruit offerings. We decided on the T-swirl Fruits Cocktail, Matcha Chocolate Truffles, Lychee Romantic, and Blueberry NY Cheesecake. All were delicious and made fresh. What really sets this place apart is the Japanese aesthetic one observes in all aspects of this very clean, small eatery: the care and precision in preparing the crepes; the neat and lovely way they wrap the crepes; and the polite workers behind the counter. With all marks checked, we continue to...
Read moreAlways one of my favorite things to get in the area! They have options for both sweet and savory crepes as well as tea drinks. I personally find the fruity ones a tad sweet so I enjoy the jasmine green tea.
The crepes itself are very filling and reasonably priced for the effort that goes into making them. Each crepe has a wonderful blend of textures and flavors and I think there’s something for everyone. Definitely note, though, that the crepes are VERY filling. If you’re getting a sweet crepe for dessert, don’t expect it to be a light snack. I haven’t tried many of the savory crepes but the few times I tried them didn’t let me down - they’re all delicious!
In terms of the actual location, it’s very small with very limited seating. It’s connected to another bigger seating area/restaurant but I prefer to take these crepes on the go, especially with the pandemic.
Overall, an awesome spot if you want a special twist on a savory sandwich-like meal, or if you want a heartier dessert or snack. Plus, the crepe flour is rice flour and therefore...
