I called El Patio Cape Coral for take-out, ordered the baby churrasco with chimichuri & two fish ceviches. While waiting for my take out order I also ordered paella. I asked Omar if the chimichuri was inside the bag before leaving & he said yes. After getting home, there was no chimichuri, the fish ceviche tasted like old, stale fish. The paella tasted ok, it was decent. I called to complain & Omar said that the owner Elizabeth would be calling me right away. No call ever came. I called back & they wouldn't answer my calls. I called again & Omar said that he spoke with Elizabeth and that she would call me right back. Finally, after several hours, she called back. I told her that Omar had said that she had called my phone & it rang busy, which I let her know that cell phones don't have a busy tone, if I'm on a call it rings & I can pick up the other line. Then she said that it went straight to voicemail...bottom line she had not called prior. She expected me to drive back to their restaurant to take their food back, I told her there was no way I was driving back over there, especially after work. I told her the baby churasco was on the table cold, since it doesn't taste the same without chimichuri, it tastes very bland without it & that we threw away the old, stale tasting fish ceviche in the trash, since Omar kept telling me that she was going to call me right away & she wouldn't call, Omar hung up the phone on me and they stopped answering my calls. I had to call the Ft Myers El Patio and spoke with Renato to try to resolve this. Elizabeth said for me to dig the fish ceviche out of the trash & that she would come to pick the food up. I told her that is nasty & that I'm not digging through our kitchen trash to pick up chunks of fish in liquid that fell throughout our trash. Truly insulting, unprofessional, rude, unmanneted the way the whole situation was...
Read moreI am honestly surprised that this place wasnt packed during lunch time. Maybe its from the location as its right off the bridge exit/entrance but thats to no fault of theirs. Within a minute maybe two we were greeted and brought to a table, we asked if we could have a bigger table (one of the large party ones) and we were told it was no issue. Food came out super quick after ordering for both entrees and appetizers. Considering the price, i would say the portions are more than plentiful and everyone in my family had to take a to go container just because we couldnt fit it all. Unfortunately i couldn’t have shrimp due to allergies but my wife has stated it is “the most perfect breading and seasoning on a shrimp” she has ever had and if she could then she would go back to the shrimp alone. Two family members had the chicken with two sides and absolutely loved it, i had the steak with onions to which it was beautifully cooked and well seasoned, one other family member had the whole shrimp and loved it. We all enjoyed our food so much we continually shared with each other because we simply had to taste all the menu options we ordered. The service was incredible, shout out to our server checking in on us frequently and making sure we had everything we needed both food and drink wise. The restaurant itself was absolutely lovely with a nice cozy inside feel. I would go back there any day and would recommend it to anyone looking...
Read moreEl Patio is one of our favorite Peruvian Restaurant in Fort Myers. I was surprised I did not write a review for this place. Located at a non-descriptive strip mall around US 41 and Colonial Blvd, this is a nice, clean, casual, family-oriented restaurant with ample parking. Outside banner replaced with a nice fresh new design. The decoration is little sparse but there is a nice wine room surrounding with thousands of bottles of wine. If you have a group of 8-12, called ahead and reserve this room!
For Sunday lunch, no Chica Morado (purple cola) today. However, I settled down with a glass of house Merlot and a free side of cancha (corn) with red and green sauce!
For the food, our favorites are Cerviche, Lomo Saltado, various Tacu Tacu with seafood or just going down the menu from spaghetti to Chaufa. My wife loves the Lomo Saltado here; the beef sautéed with onions and tomatoes are perfectly cooked and not salty at all! Today's Tacu Tacu with mussels, shrimps, scallops, calamari, smothered with creamy sauce over nice crusty rice with beans is exquisite and works well with your palate! One word for this dish, delicious!
We did not go to the connected El Patio Ice cream parlor since we don't have any room for flan, pudding or cakes. But walked out El Patio fully satisfied and a...
