Super understaffed, therefore it took a long time for our drinks. We were waiting for our table for 30-45 minutes (by choice), they were not packed by any means, but socially distancing so everyone was spread apart and we were at the bar and the poor bartender was swamped but still had a great attitude about it. We were kind of in the way of servers in the spot we were standing near the bar so we thought to move down out of the way, but the chairs had NUMEROUS FRUIT FLIES all on the seat and flying around the bar's trash cans, so we stayed put to avoid to fruit flies.
After we were seated and had our orders taken, we realized just how slow service was going to be (again, being understaffed is a management issue) and were brought partially full baskets of chips and salsa (after requesting them). We pretty much finished the chips by the time the first round of drinks came, and asked for more and ordered our entrees. Everyone ordered an entree except myself. I was not super hungry so I ordered a large queso so we could share it. By the time our food came, we were done with the 2nd round of chips and I had requested some chips for my (large $7.50) queso, and was told there would be a CHARGE FOR CHIPS TO GO WITH THE QUESO I PURCHASED. How exactly is someone supposed to eat queso without chips? This was when our moods shifted, nothing really bothered us as much until now, but considering the fact that we had already been noticing small things...it bothered us. The server promptly told us he was just doing his job and that they have to charge after the 2nd round of chips for a party of our size. See, the issue I have with that is that no one told us that, or else we couldve saved some for the queso, but to have me sit there with a bowl of queso and nothing to eat it with and not warning me that would be the case was not ok. I requested tortillas because if I'm going to be charged for something, I would rather it be fresh tortillas), was told there would be a charge (which completely makes sense) and my husband then requested some more sour cream, was told there was an extra charge (also a normal thing to have an additional charge for) so we said fine. The server brought everything including a fresh jalapeno cut up for our friend and also brought chips and told me it's on him for not letting us know about the charges (cool, but now my queso has turned into rubber.)
Then we got the bill, friend was charged $1.99 for what was 1 sliced jalapeno, we were charged $1.99 for a scoop of sour cream. I COMPLETELY understand those shouldn't be free, but completely overpriced for what it was. Also, you'd think we would have seen a manager floating around to keep things going because of the slow service or even to address the chip situation, but we never even saw one. Sign outside said under new management, which is ironic.
I know that's a lot of detail but I work in hospitality as well, and the only way a business knows how to fix things is if you're detailed in your reviews. This all could've been fixed if the communication was better, but that's all from the top. If they're not trained to do it, I can't...

From the moment we walked in to the moment we left it was as if we were being messed with because it was just so comical how the service was. We were seated and then left for 15 minutes before a drink order was taken at the same time that our drink order was taken we also went ahead and ordered our food which was only burgers. When Our drinks arrived back my drink was incorrect And instead of just changing to drink or saying we don’t have that drink the girl argued with me about what I was given to drink. When she came back with what I thought was the correct drink she put it down on the table gave me a nasty look and said I hope you like this one which was the wrong drink again, so I just drink it because I didn’t want to cause an issue. We then waited for an hour and a half for three burgers no one ever came back to refill drinks before food was there finally after an hour and a half I went and found our waitress to ask her if everything was OK and if she could check on her food and when I went to ask her that she got very frustrated with me and just repeatedly told me my food was coming as if I was bothering her or making a scene. So instead of our waitress dropping off her food the waitress another server and the manager that was there all came to our table. Then our waitress I guess didn’t want to wait on us anymore so only the manager was waiting on us and I begin to get attitude from the manager. At the end of our meal when the manager dropped off our bill as he was handing me the check he looks at me and says I know you you’ve been here before.I informed him that I have never been to the restaurant before this was my first time he didn’t seem very upset and quickly took my check back it’s a let me fix something after they have been rude to us the entire experience and the people around us had all gotten their food within 20 minutes of ordering and drinks refilled And waited on like you are supposed to be when you go to a restaurant and you’re paying for a service he came back with my check and he had taken off 10% and an appetizer that we have gotten to make up for how long it took to get our food he says however he handed me the bill when he thought that I was somebody else and then pulled it out of my hand to correct it which made me feel like they were treating me this way because they thoughtI was somebody else. I will say I will never be returning to this restaurant and the food is not good the service is not good and I felt completely and utterly disrespected and miss treated in there. I would never usually say anything if it had not been for the looks and the attitude that was given to me. I was so uncomfortable the entire time. My mom and my sister both watched the face of our server each time she passed me....

The server Mratias C. This poor man was so bored or had a lot of problems or who knows what was wrong with him but his attitude towards us was very poor. He stood at the table waiting for 5 people to go thru the menu rushing us very uncomfortable situation not only that my daughter order a margarita and he order the wrong on the Rocks when she ordered that frozen she ask if he could exchange it he said no in a very cold way at that moment we should just got up and leave but we didn't. We didn't want to embarrass my mom she is an 80 year old woman. The food was cold when it arrived at the table and also the flavor was lack of the real Mexican food ritch and seasoned. I am wondering if this restaurant have very different other issues starting in the kitchen and coming along all over to his employees but definitely what we thought it would be a nice experience ended up in a non pleasant one. We couldn't finish eating, we all were so dissatisfied and disappointed that we ask for the check and left leaving everything food and drinks on the table. My people please don't let this happen to you and your family everything is so expensive now days! For a restaurant to still open during this difficult times of a pandemic this restaurants should be serving the public with love and respect and providing excellent quality on their meals.
