Mr Tequila Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Fort Myers

Alright- was super excited to try this place. Walked in, sat down, ordered drinks/food. Food was immediately brought out within literally 5 minutes. Yeah it was nice food was done quick but it makes you question it all. Wasnt busy for a saturday evening.. food tasted actually pretty good. So when the bill time came around I had mentioned I had $10 off for signing up for their rewards program. I was ecstatic to join and find a place I enjoyed eating at. So when I told and showed the waitress my rewards info she went to "check" and says she couldn't accept??? How could you not? I read everything that was listed on the page of what to do to redeem the rewards- was only to show the QR code and redeem points/rewards. Long story short they would not accept it. She said I gained 73 points.. to what?? Definitely wasnt my account i took the time to sign up for? on top of nothing ? Bill was $100- 2 adults/2 kids. And a simple iced tea was $4..

So overall was excited to try this place- the decor was neat. Cool place of scenery. But really I won't be coming back because they wouldn't take the time to even look at their rewards program that they offer. I wasn't lying and trying to be "cheap" if that was the case I would've gone to taco bell or ate at home tbh. This experience kinda ruined it for me. We've talked about this place for a months and took the 45+ minute drive here. We're always open to support local restaurants and small businesses etc. But I seriously hate to be the one to complain; I normally keep my mouth shut on things but just had to...

First time here….was sat down immediately which was nice…once seated near the bar we got our chips and salsa. They were good but the chips were cold. It took about 10 Minutes for the waiter to come to our table to get our drinks. We both got sweet tea 1/2 unsweetened. It was all sweet. The waiter took our order. Within 2 minutes our food arrived (I was surprised) my first thought was this was a one time frozen and they just put it on a hot plate and warmed it up or put it in a microwave. The Plate was hot ….had high hopes for not only us and dinner but the restaurant. The chicken burrito was warm, but not hot. The Chicken nachos were just thrown together not layered with the cheese and chicken and lettuce and tomatoes on every level. 1/2 way thru everything was cold nothing but cold chips. Wife also got a chicken Burrito, it was lukewarm. Very disappointing. A lot of staff running around many on their cell phones not really paying attention to customers. Of Note the music was extremely loud and my wife and I were unable to hold a conversation over dinner. Will try again to to see if it was anomaly. I hope...

We visited this establishment yesterday 8/25. Anahi was our server. She was fantastic! The food was so amazing and portioned to take home leftovers. The decor is absolutely stunning! But the most impressive part of our experience was speaking with Anahi and she loves her job there. Even went on about how wonderful the owners are and how they run the business. She was so positive and happy. You rarely find an employee that will speak openly about how wonderful they feel about the company they work for. I truly hope this gets through to the owners to know they are doing amazing in how they treat their employees. This is so rare and beautiful.
