I tried Marsha’s deli for the first time the other day. I was very impressed! Best sandwich I had in a long time. And the service I received was 5 star alone. Today I decided to treat myself and go back for the same sandwich I received the first time. I am now beginning to question my first experience here; not sure which one was the ‘normal’ for this place. Today I walked in and waited at the counter for several minutes while the workers were standing behind the counter talking. I had to ask them if they were taking orders to get their attention. I ordered the exact same thing. I had to repeat my order and once the order came out it was significantly different than the first time I came. I asked for it toasted or warmed, whatever they do. When my food was delivered to the table she said, “ you didn’t state if you wanted it warm but since I knew it was a ‘French dip’ style sandwich I told them to warm it.” This was AFTER when I got done ordering and repeating my order she stated that some of the meat in my sandwich tastes bad with Au jue. When I attempted to pick up my sandwich it resembled to have been microwaved (the first time appeared toasted) and the bread was so soggy I had to put napkins below the sandwich to attempt to dry the mushy bread. I am unsure at this point if I will be returning. I will be giving 2 stars instead of just 1 solely based off the first experience I had here. My satisfied experience quickly turned to disappointment which I had not expected. Bummer! ALSO… forgot to mention. They were dead slow and numerous tables where dirty and lobby was just not cleaned. ALSO… be prepared to possibly bottom out your car as the parking lot has holes big...
Read moreThis place has exceptional sandwiches. The portion sizes are pretty generous. Their medium sandwich is larger than a Subway foot long. So be forewarned that you will want to be hungry. The only problem I have with Marsha’s is that they take only cash or check. It’s 2020, almost nobody under 60 years of age carries a checkbook and many people don’t carry cash. They really need to get a Square or something to run at least VISA and MasterCard. I hate to take away a star for that but it really is a big inconvenience. I think they would more than makeup for the 2-3% transaction fee with an increase in business. The first time I went here I was going to buy over $30 worth of subs for a work function. They missed out on all of that because they don’t take credit cards. Anyway, enough of the venting about that. Go here for the sandwiches. They are excellent. The service is always great and I would highly...
Read moreI've made a huge mistake!! I ordered too much and have gone too far to go back now! As I force feed myself the second half of my medium corned beef and pastrami sandwich, I come to the realization that... I can't do this and I am not disappointed at all. The sizing chart is as off as like ordering shirts from a Chinese manufacturer over amazon. And by sizing their sandwiches are a size bigger starting from small, being the size of a normal sandwhich and medium being 2 smalls put together!! The quality and friendly home town feel gives it plus marks in over all attendance and customer satisfaction. Not a whole lot of anything that this place is lacking in. I pitty those that eat at the subway across the street... poor people, don't know what an amazing sandwich is. 5 stars! * surprising taste,...
