Wow… Bay Leaf has really blossomed over the past weeks since we last ate here! We went for the Sunday buffet again today, and EVERY one of our (minor) criticisms from before they’ve addressed and corrected! The assortment of dishes was outstanding: they were varied, bursting with flavor, and just all-around delicious! They had tons of Naan this time (and even Papads and Samosas) on the buffet. They also had all kinds of delicious other dishes, such as Goat Biryani, Chicken Tikka Masala, Tandoori Chicken, Tamil Shrimp Curry, a really yummy Paneer dish of some kind, and a whole lot more! We were both stuffed afterwards, and just wished we’d brought a couple extra stomachs. 😄 Plus, as if the food wasn’t good enough, the service with things like refilling our water was also prompt and courteous, which I don’t normally expect from a buffet. If you haven’t tried Bay Leaf yet, you’re missing out, and if you have tried it during its opening months, but thought there was some room for improvement, you really owe it to yourself to try again! It’s a strong contender at the moment for being my favorite restaurant in the entire River...

A SALIVATING EXPLORATION FOR YOUR TASTEBUDS!!!

I cannot recommend this place ENOUGH!! my husband and I visited Bay Leaf with our family today, and were absolutely blown away by the experience. I wish there were 6 star ratings for the food and service we were blessed with this morning. We were waited on by Faisal, the general manager of the establishment - though, we thought he was the owner with the amount of passion and care he presented while we dined. Faisal, not only explained to us each buffet item, served us, and maintained friendly conversation with us, BUT he also opened their kitchen on a day that the restaurant only facilitates buffet menu items. This was an exception for my mother-in-law who really wanted to try one of their delicious menu items. (She’s also not great with spice, so he specifically put her order in on a separate tab so she could enjoy the outing just as much as the rest of us). We had such a great time at Bay Leaf, and we might just have to wait until we see our friend Faisal again, to dine as GRAND as we did today!

Thank you Faisal! Thank you Bay Leaf,

The...

This will probably get an automated response like all of the other reviews that have been left so far, but my initial experience coming here for dinner was not good. I came at 5:30 PM to eat an early dinner and walked up to the front desk to wait to be seated. While I am standing there, the gentleman being the booth just bluntly states, “closed, open for dinner at 6:15” and looked at me like I was an idiot for being there. I was confused at first because their front door sign, menu and google page state their hours are from 10:30 AM to 9:30 PM so I was not expecting them to be closed when I came. What was irritating was that he said that to me like I was supposed to know that they would be closed at that time somehow. What was interesting was that they were still letting DoorDash drivers make pickups while I was standing there. I’m sure the food is good, but if you’re not going to seat people at certain times of the day, please update your hours to reflect that. All that being said, I plan on giving Bay Leaf a fair shot now that I know when to come if I...

My husband and I have been so excited to try this new restaurant and we were not disappointed. I’m always concerned that a food I love may not taste as good at a new restaurant compared to my regulars but I was NOT disappointed! I ordered the korma chicken and it was literally to die for!! That first bite of korma hit my taste buds and I could have cried from pure joy! My husband ordered butter chicken, which he said was really good, but even he couldn’t stop dipping his naan in my korma sauce! We’ve been waiting for an Indian restaurant here in Fort Smith for quite some time (we have favorites in Rogers, Little Rock and Branson) and our experience tonight left us hopeful that Bay Leaf will remain a strong restaurant in our area. I highly recommend the korma and the butter naan; basics, yes, but you will NOT leave disappointed! I can’t wait to go back for our second tasting again and I’m hoping that I might end up seeing some korma (maybe even some zucchini korma) on the buffet someday soon!
