If the place gets really busy, you could wait out the hallway and hear your ready-for-pickup order being belted-out by the woman working here who was as loud as a drill sergeant shouting across a mess hall! To its credit, this place serves huge portions of tenders. I ordered a 4 piece order. Each tender seemed as though it was half of a large chicken breast. So, bring your appetite. However, aside from the generous portion size, the tenders themselves I would maybe rate a two or two point five out of five stars. The breading was thin and soggy, not at all crispy, and it was falling off of the meat. This was like sort of pretty good fried chicken you would be honored to have at a friend’s mother’s house. It might even be better than your own mom‘s fried chicken, but not quite ready for prime time in a restaurant setting, dig? The jerk sauce was a bit sweet, the Memphis or Tennessee sauce was bland and layered and oily, and not well-mixed. The buffalo sauce could have used just a bit more heat. The sweet potato fries, some of them were sort of burnt, and others were soggy. They weren’t awful. The Pellegrino in bottles is a nice thing to have on the beverage menu. I didn’t see sweet tea here, but they might have it! On this visit, I spent $28, including a beverage, tax and an automatic “hospitality charge.” I would consider coming back to try a sandwich sometime if they got their breading game together a bit more.

I heard this spot was Black-owned and had to give it a try. Northern Soul is conveniently located in the Minneapolis airport and easy to find. It’s a small, cozy space with a few tables and high-tops for seating. If you need more room, you can always take your food to go and eat in one of the airport’s larger seating areas. Ordering is pretty straightforward—they have screens where you place and pay for your order. After that, you find a seat, and they’ll call you when your food is ready. I ordered a chicken sandwich, waffle fries, and mac and cheese (my favorite food). The chicken sandwich was surprisingly good—tender, juicy, and a lot of flavor. The waffle fries were your waffle fries, no complaints there. The mac and cheese, though, was really solid. For a fast-casual spot, it was creamy, cheesy, and just really hit the spot. Not mad at it at all! Overall, Northern Soul delivered a tasty chicken sandwich and satisfying mac and cheese at a pretty reasonable price point. If I ever find myself in this airport again, I’d definitely stop by and continue to support.

Being a SkyMiles member usually I'm at the airport enjoying the SkyClub for a free meal, but there's one place I would drop 💰 without hesitation and it's Northern Soul. From order to pickup was a little over 10 minutes but it was well worth the wait. We ordered the classic Soul, Buffalo, and Tennessee Hot with a side of tots. The warm brioche buns, the oh so crispy chicken, and the variation of toppings were a heavenly experience. Plus the tots were nice and crispy with some tasty seasoning. I asked for some BBQ sauce to dip the tots and was given their house sauce with a sweet and tangy tasty. The total for everything was $58, which is about par for an airport meal, but even sharing the Tennessee Hot with the missed and eating half my kiddos tots it left me nice and full and satisfied. Certainly won't be my last time!!!

As I have mentioned in the past as a level 8 Google reviewer...just so you all know my wife makes me say that part.....I take the stuff serious.. This was the worse customer service experience I have had in the last 10 yrs of going out to eat. 1st for 2 sandwiches and 1 side of fries and 2 small drinks cost me 50 bucks !!! 50 bucks for fast freaking food that was not fast. In an airport they usually rush food ..well this sandwiches took 30 minutes ...then they kept taking orders there were 15 people behind me and I had already waited 30 minutes. It should have been illegal for them to keep taking orders. Then they had the nerve to have only 3 people working right at lunch time. One of the 3 was also Taking orders and helping in back. It was a total mess ...I will never go here again...EVER!!! 50 BUCKS ...50 BUCKS FOR A FAST FOOD MEAL what has this...
