I usually give pretty good reviews, however at the McDonald's on coliseum by the jeep dealship is unbelievably un- professional!!! The younger blonde hair manager and then the younger gentleman that worked this Sunday at night time is completely unprofessional. They both were extremely rude hateful down right nasty with the way the spoke to myself and other customers as well. Not only did I wait in the drive thru for literally 59 minutes(I'm not joking) literally 59 minutes waiting in their drive.I couldn't back up to leave, couldn't pull forward just stuck there. No cars were moving they never answered the speaker and then some cars in front just drove up to the window. We finally get to speakers and same as the cars in front of us no answer. We wait at the speaker for over 10 minutes (because we had no other choice might I add) and still no answer. When I can finally move forward I go ahead and just pull to the second window due to note on first window say no one's there pull forward. Then when I explained I'm picking up a door dash they refused to hand me the order said even though it was due an hour earlier they hadn't done it yet and they pulled us to the yellow lines where we preceded to wait an additional 13 minutes . No apologies nothing but lite rudeness and unprofessionalism. I have been in the food industry for over 23 years and in management for almost 15 years and I have never seen a shift so poorly managed. Such poor execution of the night sales and of customer satisfaction let alone your times. I have been here at night one other time and it was just as bad. It was the same two employees and they were just as bad then, now that being said tonight was by far the worst experience ever as a customer, as a door dasher , AND as a fellow manager so to speak. I don't know if they are short staffed or of the owners are not allowing hours and people to be scheduled or what was going on due to the lack of communication, but it doesn't take much to be kind and to communicate with the guest! Atleast then we would know what was happening and we could be understanding. I truly hope that the owners aren't running the employees ragged like that, if so thats sad and I can see a high turn over rate for your store, now as for the employees I suggest you take a course or two on...
Read moreWent through the drive through. I deliver Doordash. Some McDonald’s I pick up from I go inside, some just the drive through. Really shouldn’t matter, McDonald’s is still getting a sale. So I go through this drive through, tell the lady at the speaker I have a Doordash order. She says ok pull up to the second window and we will have that ready for you. Waited 10-15 minutes. Get to the second window. She tells me a total, I say no I have a Doordash order. She says oh, well you need to pick that up inside. I said the lady told me I could pick it up here. She says no all Doordash orders have to be picked up inside. I said well then why was I told I could pick it up here, I just waited this long? She rolled her eyes and said I don’t know but you need to come inside. Now why couldn’t she had just turned around and handed me the order? Because she is rude and my time didn’t matter to her. Reminded me of the only other time I have been here. All the employees were rude! An old man was waiting so long and being ignored, so he finally went around the counter to announce that he was a paying customer. That got their attention! They were extremely rude to him and reprimanded him for coming behind the counter! And a manager was even involved! What else was he supposed to do? He wanted FAST food! I think SLOW and RUDE are the only words to describe this place! NEVER AGAIN! This is just like my first review, had to write another because I Don’t think they posted...
Read moreThis McDonald’s in the heart of the Midwest feels like a small-town gem, with a few regional touches that make it stand out. The first thing I noticed was how friendly the staff were. There’s something about Midwest hospitality that just feels genuine, and this place nails it. From the cashier greeting me with a smile to the manager checking in to make sure everything was good, it was a warm experience all around.
The décor had a local vibe, with pictures of nearby farmlands and nods to the area’s agricultural roots. It was clean and cozy, with plenty of seating, and even though it was busy, the space didn’t feel cramped at all.
The food was the reliable McDonald’s standard, but what really stood out was a special regional menu item: the Midwest BBQ Bacon Burger. It had a smoky flavor with locally-sourced cheese and a tangy sauce that gave it a unique kick. The fries were as crispy as ever, and I couldn’t pass up a Midwest Apple Turnover, which I haven’t seen at any other McDonald’s outside the region.
Drive-thru service was a bit slow, likely due to the lunchtime crowd, but the staff made up for it with their kindness. I even overheard a conversation about the local county fair coming up, which really brought out that small-town Midwest charm.
If you’re in the Midwest and craving McDonald’s, this location is definitely worth a visit. It has all the familiar comfort with a little extra local flair that...
