I cannot give a lower rating. I would if I could my girlfriend called me crying after waiting 25 minutes in line drive through today and leaving with no food . Her card has worked at every other terminal that we have ever used it at. It Was not readable. And she was sent away with no food have you ever heard of manually typing in a credit card. Upon further review (asking a manager who shouted to the front for an additional manager to help instead) they don't have the ability to do that ( manual credit card entry) I still don't believe her. I promised that I would come and see you in person and I did. The cashier said I have a guaranteed way to get your card to read... she wrapped a piece of thermal paper around it. I stopped here there. I stopped her and said not actually I'm just here to see whether or I'm not actually buying food from you but lunch during a 10 hour shift is helpful when you work customer service. Stand at the store and I have been busy at the time but this is a fast food restaurant in 25 minutes for a paying customer to not receive their food is unacceptable. This is specifically a bad review for the lima road to drive through. That conservation was a buy one meal get one meal free. Thank you. That's will be useless because she's on lunch by herself she'll never be able to take advantage of a free meal but I have now bought her an Arby's gift card which is right next-door to your McDonald's. She might come back you have lost me as a customer forever permanent detractor look up that if you don't know...
Read moreMy recent visit to the McDonald's on Lima Road in Fort Wayne was, to put it lightly, a disappointment. With an expectation of a quick grab-and-go meal, the 20-minute wait at the drive-through was the first red flag that things were going awry. Such a delay is unacceptable, especially when one considers McDonald's reputation for fast service.
The situation did not improve upon reaching the pickup window. Instead of being met with the efficiency and courtesy you'd expect, I encountered rudeness from a staff member. This lack of professionalism and basic customer service etiquette was startling and put a significant damper on the experience.
To add insult to injury, the order was not correctly fulfilled. I was given the wrong drink size, a mistake that could have been easily avoided with a bit more attention to detail. Hoping for some resolution or at least an apology, I took the time to call the store and speak to a manager. Regrettably, this interaction was as negative as the visit itself. The manager's response was far from the understanding or corrective action one would hope for in such situations.
It's disheartening to see such a lapse in service and management at this McDonald's location. A fast-food visit should be quick, efficient, and pleasant, but this was none of those things. This experience has significantly impacted my view of this location, and I am hesitant to return or recommend it to others. Fort Wayne residents and visitors would be better served by considering other...
Read moreI have had a few issues at this location and today pushed me over the top to write about my experience. Today was actually par for the course. They had a lane shut down for any one of many reasons they always have. Short staff or system down, but it was not today that was the bad experience.
Around a month ago I went to this location as it is on my way home. The drive threw was shut down as they didn't have staff. I went inside and they were having a meeting. Seems strange to pull all your staff but one for a meeting when you are busy. this was around 5:30pm which I would think is the worst time to do these. Outside of that issue the one person working was very sweet. A young black girl who was doing her very best. The next issue was how my food came out wrong, cold, and took forever. Even with all of this this was not the worst part.
The manager running the meeting was awful to listen to and was just yelling at his staff. Nothing nice was coming out of his mouth. "I will fire you if you do this, and this, and I will not go down for this, and this." Apparently there was a corporate team member coming in to the location. I was amazed how this man would talk this way to his staff and for guests to hear. The humous thing was as he is saying to do your job this location was out of so many things which I take it was part of his job.
Family enjoys McDonalds but there are other locations on my way home so will be skipping this...
