Def. one of the better Starbucks in town! The parking lot is always a mess; good luck if there is a line and you are trying to squeeze into the drive-thru though. I always mobile-order since I'm short on time anyways. As someone else mentioned though; sometimes picking up can still be a mess. The staff, while some of the nicest humans on the planet to be dealing with us coffee addicts; do try their best to catch the people standing at the pickup window. However, if it is very busy you will want to just give a holler to the attendant. Giving a tip afterwards never hurts if it works! I'm never one to wait when it comes to my cup o' joe; but after a few faithful visits the staff picked up on my regimen and I nearly ever have a super-long wait. Wanna get in and out quick at this Starbucks? Here is the formula:

  1. Actually stop in on occasion! - besides actually being able to utilize those free refills if you have a Starbucks Gold Card...going into the shop acouple times with friends will give the employees a face to go by; get to know your staff and they will get to know you!
  2. Mobile Order & Often! - I religiously drink coffee! and on the days where I don't brew at home...Starbucks has become my go-to. The more you order over Mobile and pickup around a specific time. The quicker the staff catches on to your routine!
  3. Try to enter the parking lot from Dupont Rd. heading towards I69 rather than Auburn Rd. as the drive-thru fills up very quickly.
  4. Pay attention to Google Busy Times!! Believe it or not those hours are usually pretty accurate and gives me enough information to calculate if I can afford the potential extra 5mins spent going into the store to pickup and leaving the parking lot after mobile-ordering or not.
  5. SKIP THE DRIVE THRU -- unless it isn't busy of course :) -- mobile orders are almost always at the Drive-Thru window unless the staff picks up that you come in every day between 2-3pm like I usually do for a mobile-order. Even though the drink may be at the Drive-Thru window...the wait vs mobile order will def. top the 5mins taken to go in and grab your drink!

Good luck! & Happy...

First I want to start by saying that the Staff is extremely polite and great at their jobs! They are extremely polite and caring individuals.

This review is more of me letting them know how to make everyone in my shoes experience there a 5 star experience.

Mobile Ordering should not be prioritized before those of us who order in store. There should be someone preparing mobile orders as they come in and someone preparing in store orders. They already have someone preparing drivethru orders so have someone there to only work on mobile orders. This is my biggest issue with this location. I stop here on my way to work which is 20 min from my house. I refuse to put a mobile order in and have my hot drink and food sit there for 20 mins getting cold, while I drive there. When I get there and put in my order, I get my food almost right away after they get it cooked, but it ALWAYS takes 15-20 minutes to get my drink because every time a mobile order is placed and the printer goes off to print the sticker the barista puts those stickers on and starts making those drinks and my cup sits at the end until the mobile orders are done. This is frustrating especially because my order is placed before the mobile orders come through. This literally happens every single day that I stop there.

They need to invest in a food and drink warmer for orders. While waiting 15-20 minutes on my drink, my food gets cold. I order my food and my drink to eat and drink together. Even for mobile orders, no one should have to come pick up their orders with cold food and a slightly warm drink. They honestly need to look into getting a warmer for drinks and food. Nobody wants cold food or drinks when they're supposed to be hot.

Drive Thru..... they need to figure out how to control this, because this is a disaster every single morning.

These issues are why I rated this...

Not normally the kind of review I like to write, but at the same time this one wrote itself.

Visited on a Friday afternoon for an afternoon Java boost. The drive thru line was long, but I figured it would go quickly, seeing it was located on a major road and those locations usually have their stuff together.

I was wrong.

I was REALLY wrong.

It took use 30 minutes Just To Get to the speaker to order.

THIRTY minutes.

In those 30 minutes there were 3 other cars that pulled off.

In those 30 minutes I heard NINE different songs on the radio.

In those 30 minutes my wife made 3 phone calls.

Then another 7 minutes to go from placing my order to getting it at the window.

37 minutes to get a freaking coffee.

At least my order was correct.

Even though this location is close to my destination, I'm going to wager there's a location somewhere around here that doesn't make me feel significantly older by the time I get my order. I will go to that one...

2022 SUMMER: Great place to meet for coffee (and a nosh) and catching up with friends. Or just a drive-thru visit for something fresh - or even for some decent beans for your own morning brew at home! Always great service by the staff, the shelves and selections are amply stocked, and the place is clean as a whistle. I'm loving my local Starbucks java joint. Decent fuel for my brain. ;) **UPDATE: 2023 Thanksgiving time at Starbucks means they now have the reusable Holiday Red Cup with a purchase of a Fall or Holiday drink. I needed some brain fuel this afternoon, and picked up the Red Cup below. Going to put a loaded Starbucks card inside and give it as a fun Secret Santa gift to a sweet friend who is also a Starbucks lover. This Auburn & Dupont store is still offering great service and drinks with a smile, even when the drive-thru and the in-store lines are long. Great crew, great brew! HAPPY HOLIDAYS.🍁🦃❄🎄

Edit: in response to "owner", I do ask them to remake it, but I get eye rolls, my drink yanked from my hand, and baristas hanging out the window to tell me that this is considered "light ice". Half a cup full of ice is considered light ice to Starbucks and I have to say "very light ice". So I do that and still get it half full. There is no need to be rude as my perception of light ice is apparently different than your "standards." Corporate was nice enough to refund me my money for the last three visits. I visit the Lima location now. They are faster and will ask before handing me the cup if there is enough ice in my drink. That is customer service. No longer will I frequent this location. Any drink I order, I ask for light ice and this is what I get. Half of my cup full of ice. I pay anywhere between $4-$7 for my coffee. Light ice isn’t difficult and often they miss this step.
