Nothing but condoning abuse. There is no need for the use of exotic animals. You can be successful and still entertain an audience without chaining animals and using them for purposes they should never be used for. There is no way a circus can be ethical and still use elephants in a show, especially because there is no way to ethically transport them, they are often kept in chains, and there are plenty of resources showing and proving this unfortunate reality.
