I'm new to Texas so I seen this place and tried it a few days ago. My fiance and I ordered butter pecan waffle cones and they was amazing, so we came back today along with my mother in law. The the first problem is the young lady I didn't see a name tag but she had braces. She told us they don't sell the item at all so I told her what it was and how it was made. She was hesitant but she went to make it. I even told her how much we paid. When she passes us the cones they looked like it had two small scoops of ice cream and barely any toppings. This was totally different from the first experience so I asked politely can she make it right because it didn't look like I had the other day. Another lady came to the window which I didn't see a name tag from her either, she was very rude saying "so it's $4.00 for the extra scoops of ice cream ( this wasn't explained by the first girl and the come she gave was not full scoops anyhow). So I said ma'am this does not look like what I got the other day this barely has ice cream and toppings. At this point she got aggressive so I asked for my money back. The level of knowledge of the menu and professionalism was non existent. I will never come back to this establishment. You can't treat people this way and expect them to spend money. I think this pandemic has shown these places nothing at all. Without your customers you can't keep your business open unless you get Government help. Employees need to be kind and welcoming. Customer service is also what we pay for. Nobody wants to be greeted by a mean...
Read moreAndy's Frozen Custard is the only place I have ever tried frozen custard. The experience is usually great — good customer service and delicious frozen custard.
The customer service from all of Andy's Frozen Custard locations I have been to in the Dallas/Fort Worth area has always been great — this time was no exception. Someone takes your order on the side of the drive-thru, making the process a lot faster. By the time you get to the window to pay, your order is ready to go.
I ordered a Strawberry and Oreo Concrete and an Original Straw-Ana Sundae.
The Strawberry and Oreo Concrete had Andy's vanilla frozen custard blended with strawberries and Oreo — it wasn't my favorite. Don't get me wrong: the Strawberry and Oreo Concrete was pretty good, but only a portion of it was. The top had everything I wanted in the Strawberry and Oreo Concrete but the bottom? Not so much. There was no Oreo towards the middle or bottom, just the top. After finishing the top portion of the Strawberry and Oreo Concrete, it tasted pretty bland — just strawberry custard towards the middle and bottom.
I enjoyed the Original Straw-Ana Sundae a lot. It wasn't overwhelmingly sweet nor was it heavy. If you're looking for something light, this is definitely it. You can't go wrong with it.
I've always enjoyed visiting Andy's Frozen Custard. Whenever my friends or family are in town, I always recommend visiting any one of the Andy's Frozen Custard locations — it's...
Read moreThe custard itself wasn't bad. Their service and the way they run the place was HORRIBLE. Instead of calling out order numbers or a name for the order, they just call out what the item is so we had part of our order stolen by other people TWICE. They had two windows open to order from and they were passing out orders at the same windows so the cashier interrupted us in the middle of talking to hand out a different order and then she somehow managed to completely clear out our order so we had to tell her everything all over. We had ordered two medium sodas and they gave us smalls instead and the Dr Pepper was flat. We ordered a boot daddy concrete with bananas and peanut butter cups added (the lady asked if we wanted it mixed into the concrete and we said yes) and they had to remake it FOUR times and STILL had it wrong!! We also ordered custard to go and they gave us that first so it melted by the time we got everything else. We sat there for over 30 minutes and 20 of those minutes were spent waiting on just one concrete to be made correctly and it never was. This was the...
