Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Fort Worth

Unless you’re going for cheap drinks with no kick, I don’t recommend this location. I went to the RR first thing and it smells so strongly of septic. It was truly disgusting. Then it took 12min waiting at our table, with no one coming, before my husband got up to ask for service. I was a slow evening except at the bar. Which I’m guessing is where you should sit if you want service. I ordered a Perfect Margarita that came with no ice and no alcohol. Thought I’d try something else but it was the same. Total waste of money. The spinach dip & chips were fresh and hot. That was the highlight for the meal. Our waiter hardly ever checked in on us. Then we get our food and my steak (and shrimp) we over cooked. My husbands salmon that he ordered blackened, wasn’t blackened. They said they would make me another steak. I guess that meant just the steak because I got back the same (remaining 5 because I ate one) overcooked, now cold, shrimp. I asked about it and the waiter said they were new ( yet one of the remaining 5 was cut in half where I had cut it when checking my steak). But why were there only 5 instead of the six the meal comes with??? I was trying to eat this new steak that tasted like…well, nothing (no flavor whatsoever) when I picked up a fork full of potatoes only to see a dark hair about 3in long in them. (My hair is down my back so it wasn’t mine.) At that point…done. My husbands salmon was also tasteless & dry. When we got the bill, they had charged us for two steaks. But we weren’t raising a stink or anything. Just ready to leave to go home and try to make something edible (we were hungry!). The waiter didn’t ask us if it was ok or anything during the entire meal. I husband mentioned to the waiter that he didn’t even notice that I stopped eating completely, pushing my plate on the other side of the table and that there was a hair in my potato’s and he just said, “That’s crazy.” And yes, he had the same color and length of the hair that was on my potatoes. We don’t go there very often, but I guarantee this the VERY LAST TIME. This location was an all around fail that is lucky to even get the one star (had no choice)! Just call it quits, Applebee’s and the manager who didn’t even care to help either. Completely 💯 disappointed. Save your money and your patience for somewhere who actually cares about their customers. Applebee’s contacted me via email and asked me more questions to try to fix things. This is the absolute worst restaurant experience my family and I have ever experienced. If this was an Olympic sport for worst restaurant. You'd win the Gold by a long shot. If I could give you negative stars. You'd absolutely get a negative 5 out of 5.

We were celebrating my mother in laws birthday with a fairly large party, so my wife called and made a reservation. Let me say that again. She called and made a reservation and they took the reservation and yes we called the right place. We ended up needing to shift our time slightly, so I called about the reservation and I'm told they don't even take reservations. Um what? You took one when my wife called.

We get there and the place is virtually empty anyway. We are told to wait at these three tables and they'd get the party room ready. Then they come by later and say we can't sit there but can sit at the bar. Then they come back and ask what we are waiting for and reiterate we can't sit there. From the beginning we said we were waiting for the party room. The manager made a comment about a reservation but then in the next breath backtracked and said they didn't take reservations.

My wife asks for a drink menu while we are waiting. The waitress rudely says they don't have a drink menu and just walks off. Not even offering a regular menu to look at. After about 30 minutes of waiting, we finally get walked to the party room. The rude waitress who walked us over, informs us she has to leave to go to class but hopefully another server shows up.. what?? Then we wait at least 30 more minutes before we gave up and went somewhere else.

Our entire party waited over an hour at a virtually empty restaurant and never even got an opportunity to even place an order. Cant imagine how bad the food would have been if the front staff was that bad. Will never go back.

A virtually empty restaurant, a clueless manager, and 1 server? Not one person could communicate with us about what was going on, how long a wait would be, or anything. Just walk past us a dozen times telling us we couldn't sit there to eat (but said we could wait there every other time they said something?)

Without drastic changes, this place will be out of business within 6 months....

I took my family here on Saturday 9/2. We walked in an the hosted never said a word, we spoke and asked for a booth. She took us to a table and we asked for a booth again. After taking us to a booth, she put the 4 menus down on the table and walked away, without saying a word. Hind sight we should have left the building right then. Our Server came and she was the highlight of the visit. She was nice, happy and helpful, placed our order and soon came the boneless chicken for our appetizer, it was ice cold. The server apologized and went to the kitchen to get them remade. Not long after our meals came and we began to indulge. I asked to server about the chicken wings and she said the GM, was coming to talk to us. I said she didn't as a matter of fact she walked straight passed us. I asked for the GM at that point. She came to the table and I knew why the atmosphere was so dry in the entire restaurant. It was her, maybe it was a bad day but it looked like a bad life. I asked about the wings and she said we can take it off your bill or make u some more, I said please remake and place them in a to go container. She said ok. I went to the restroom before we eat and passed directly by the kitchen, and over heard arguing and loud talking coming from there, as I looked inside the kitchen was nasty,#2 I should have got my family and left then. But I have been here several times before and it was nothing like this. Food was sub par, atmosphere was bad bad. We paid the bill, giving the server the benefit of the doubt she was tipped nicely.
