I am not one to leave scathing reviews... But, this place definitely deserves one. I ordered beef quesadillas online and picked up my order by walking down the road from my hotel. Online, the website was well organized, had pictures, and painted a world-class picture of a new restaurant chain. Reality kicked in when I discovered it was inside a gas station, but I was starving, so I proceeded to give benefit of doubt after waiting for 15 mins to pick up at the request of the restaurant. Upon arrival, the cashier did not speak English and when I showed him my online receipt, he could not read it without an order number on it. He looked down at the register and saw the ticket on the floor which he picked up and set down on the serving line where the food was prepped. He held up his hand indicating it would be 5 minutes, but ultimately turned out to be 13 mins with no other customers in the area. Finally, he brought my order out to me and it was missing items (limes and sour cream) which he plopped down in the container once he understood what I was trying to communicate with him. The quality of the food was that of an elementary school cafeteria, except worse. The quesadillas were almost totally void of cheese and had the bare minimum of beef which I ordered. Three slices of avocado's were thrown in, yet they were old and discolored. The sour cream was majority composed of water, and the shredded lettuce was the most appetizing looking item included. The flavor of the meat was good, but the absence of the quality of the other ingredients made it bland tasting at best. The worst part of the entire order is the fact I paid $17 for what I received after being made to wait almost 30 mins. I would have asked for my money back, but the lack of English speaking employees, my efforts would have been fruitless. I do not recommend this restaurant due to the lack of business skills, food preparation, quality of their food, but mainly due to the price! It was a complete rip-off for what I received. I want my money back! I wish I could give them a negative star rating. $17 for this? See...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe were super excited to try this place. We love little spots like this, however it was a huge disappointment. The small space isnāt thought out very well. The table was dirty and I was thankful I had spray hand sanitizer with me. The young lady behind the counter obviously was either unhappy to be at work or just isnāt a people person. We were polite, said hello, please and thank you, still no warmth from her. I had 2 tacos, choice of meat. I chose fajita meat and carnitas. The fajita meat was good, tender and tasty. But the carnitas was just okay. The tacos came with 2 corn tortillas, grilled onions, which I like and a grilled Serrano and side of onion and cilantro. *The salsas that were in bottles and on the table were delicious. Not sure theyāre supposed to be left out? My husband ordered the Gordita special, choice of meat. This plate came with beans and rice and 2 very nice sized Gorditas. They come with your choice of meat, beans, cheese, lettuce, tomato and sour cream, which we specifically asked to LEAVE OFF. They did not. But my husband did eat all the beans and rice and scraped the lettuce, tomato and sour cream off and finished one. When we asked for a bag to take the other Gordita with us, the young lady asked,āfor what?ā Then was still more unfriendly when we asked for 1 little container of green salsa. Which again is VERY good! There were positives and minuses. We might try it again on a different day and time. But hopefully some changes could be made because they do...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFood was good, I'll give them that, albeit overpriced. That's what's important at the end of the day, but the review experience is more than that.
Walked in to the tables greased up and covered in dishes.
Ladies can barely understand enough English to order you a taco. Ironic.
Biggest gripe: While I know I'm spoiled with this, imagine not listing your drink prices and then charging for a refill. It's awesome how I was polite enough to ask about it, but could've got it free. My usual Mexican spot let's you go wild with all the fancy drinks if you buy a cup which is the same price here. And, on the price subject, the usual spot's burritos are somehow 7 entire dollars cheaper. $8 vs $15 Idk about you, but I'm not crazy enough to drop 15 on JUST a burrito. Not going...
