I've been here a few times and enjoyed myself. Today, I introduced my friend from New Orleans to this place. I wanted his opinion. *Keep in mind he is a chef. When we walked in, he noticed there was no music playing. He said, "They should always have music playing". We ordered the stuffed shrimp, catfish etouffee, seafood platter, and 2 daiquiris. The stuffed shrimp looked overcooked, but we tasted it and thought it tasted better than it looked. It had cream cheese and other ingredients. I really enjoyed it. My friend didn't like it too much. He thought it was pre-frozen and cooked in the same grease as everything else. We tasted my catfish etouffe. It was good to me but I've had better. My friend thought it was ok. The rice was a good texture. The catfish was fried in cornmeal (the way I like it). The etoufee had crawfish in it and was tasty. I will order it again. My friend had boudin balls, meat pies, mango habanero wings, gumbo, and green beans. My friend thought everything tasted ok. There is nothing to write home about. I really enjoyed the wings, gumbo, and green beans (I didn't try the rest). Definitely try the gumbo and green beans. Their red beans and rice is good too. We had "Trina's Special Mixed Daiquiris." I had the raspberry and strawberry flavored one. It was really good. Ask her to hook it up for you. The staff members are always nice and inviting. The place is clean. I gave you my friends opinion and mine. He is a chef and may have had better. However, I enjoyed it. I'll recommend you attend Karaoke night and other event nights.

This place was recommended by a Nola native so we knew it had to be good! We walked in, it was empty but that didn’t deter us (more people came shortly after), we looked over the menu, ordered food, a daiquiri and waited. The ladies were so nice and welcoming, they took great care of us, felt just like home! We ordered wings, fried catfish (real catfish not Swai lol) and shrimp, we also had crawfish e’touffee, jambalaya, red beans/rice and green beans. To be honest we didn’t care for the green beans at all, the jambalaya was a little dry but good with hot sauce. The other sides were on point! The wings, catfish and shrimp on point!! The wings are homemade, flour dusted. We asked for the catfish to be fried hard but next time it isn’t necessary because they are going to fry it just right! They also played good music, they have karaoke on Saturdays too, we left before it started. We’ll definitely be back!

I have been here a few times since this location opened. Depending on what is ordered it can be good or bad. This time I had catfish with crawfish etouffee , green beans, and red beans and rice. The red beans and rice, crawfish etouffee, and the green beans were all amazing. Yet the fish was a bit salty for my taste. Interestingly enough I like to salt my food, but this was way to much! Especially when each piece costs $7(a bit high in my opinion). As for the service. The lady at the counter was super nice. But, as always it takes about 20 to 30 minutes of sitting and waiting to get what was ordered. That has never changed. So, in other words, I might try again in another 6 months or so and hope things might change.

I was visiting my daughter at Baylor and we went to Dallas to shop. On our way back, we decided on some to get some Creole cooking. Seeing that this place had four stars and was nearby, we stopped in. Upon entering the place, we should have turned around but it had four stars, right? Even though it was loud, we stayed. Upon being 'greeted', (there was one guy whizzing by who told us we could sit anywhere but there was no wait staff, we had to order at the counter, pick up our food and sit down.) That was our sign but we ventured on. We got to the countered, told the guy it was our first time there, he handed us a menu and said, 'you can order when you're ready.' Sign number 2! We asked him for help, he took a deep breath and said 'everything's good ' then started helping the other people who walked up to order frozen daiquiris. We eventually ordered, got our drinks and sat down. After about a 15-20 minute wait, our buzzer buzzed and we went to pick up. The food 'looked' good but we quickly realized that looks aren't everything. In a nutshell, the food was bland. You could tell that the stuffed crab, the Boudain balls, the crawfish meat pie were all previously frozen because of the freezer burn taste.. the gumbo was lukewarm like it had been nuked and was getting cold again. We also had Chicken wings with fries. Again, bland with no taste and the fries were soggy. As we were wrapping our experience up, some young lady came over and asked if we needed to go boxes (we left almost half of it uneaten.) We politely said no and left. On the way out, my daughter made a statement to me. She said, 'you noticed we were the only people eating? Everybody else is coming in to get daiquiris?' Made sense...we try to support our own, but our own has to give us...
