The bottom line is they have good pasta, mediocre pizza, gross salads (we tried two different ones) and a lousy online ordering service. Call them for carry out (you may get someone with a thick accent and may not understand him but he will understand you). We won’t be eating there again. For details, continue reading. We tried it twice. The first takeout experience was great, I called and ordered pasta (Tortellini Bolognese and Chicken Arrabiata), Caesar salad (so gross, powdered cheese and too much dressing) and dessert (tiramisu and limoncello mascarpone cake). Everything was great (except the salad) - good flavor and it traveled well. Our second takeout experience we used their online ordering system to order pizza (sausage, mushroom, and pepperoni), Nick’s salad (hardly any lettuce and too much dressing) and limoncello cake (seriously, this is the best). We got it back to our place and it’s just pepperoni. I called and talked to a guy who said something about the online ordering service not saying the right thing and he’d make us another. I asked if it could be for the next night because we didn’t want to drive out again. He said fine. When I called back the next night, he said I needed to call and get a refund from the online service and then call him to get a new pizza. I tried getting a refund but never received a response. In the end, I never got the right pizza and never got a refund. Waste of time and money.

I have been on a find the best lasagna in Dallas-Fort Worth mission eating lasagna once or twice a week from a different Italian restaurant. I had read reviews on this particular restaurant and even though there was very few on the lasagna itself they were awesome and that were negative and the other reviews seemed very positive. So tonight I decided to try it and so far I can say without hesitation that this is by far the worst lasagna in the metroplex. There is so much tomato sauce in this lasagna that's all you taste they use a ricotta cheese inside that tastes like about the cheapest one you can find so it reminds me of like a chef boyardee type lasagna that you would get. I ordered it to go and of course there was no silverware or napkins included and the gentleman who prepared it so haphazardly sealed it that by the time I got to my car it was all kinds of sauce inside the bag. I'm guessing this is a meat lasagna however I've yet to find the meat but that's what I ordered. But I can say hands down that this is the worst lasagna I've ever had. I guess that thin little spot of brown in the third and fourth picture must be what they consider meat but I'd more say it's kind of like the old slogan "where's the beef" well it's definitely not in this lasagna even that bite tasted like ricotta cheese.

My boyfriend and I had a great experience. Definitely one of the best Italian Restaurants in East Fort Worth. I had the lasagna and my boyfriend had the eggplant parmigiana with spaghetti. We both loved how rich our dishes were. The marinara sauce was sweet and the Italian seasonings in our dishes really amped them up in quality. We learned that this restaurant is family-owned and it definitely deserves more recognition. Our server, Shazar (sp?), was very attentive, funny, and personable with us. We really appreciated his service tonight. We were there pretty late, so there weren't many people in the restaurant. We made sure to leave before they closed so they wouldn't have to wait on us (there was no pressure, we just didn't want to stay until after close). I really wish it was possible to give more stars. Shazar was great with us, the food was fantastic, we loved that it's family-owned, and the atmosphere was great. If you're not sure if you should come, I'm telling you now that you should. Thank you!

One of my co-workers raved about Italy Pasta & Pizza for the tasty food and large portions, so another co-worker and I took the trip for lunch.

On our first visit, I ordered the baked ziti based on the waiter's recommendation and had a salad with house dressing (tomato vinaigrette). The first to arrive to the table was the salad and then the bread. The salad was fresh iceberg lettuce with one sole cherry tomato on the side. The tomato vinaigrette was unlike any dressing I've had before. It was very flavorful; I just never got used to it and every bite was like whoa this is weird and good. The bread was served warm and was light and spongy- a perfect texture to dip into olive oil with Parmesan cheese, pepper, and balsamic vinegar. Then came the baked ziti, which was served piping hot. I was not expecting all that cheese and ricotta! I told the waiter that I was a big fan of sauce and I was disappointed with the small amount of tomato sauce. However, the waiter brought me a side of sauce and I poured it all in. It made the baked ziti PERFECT! I was a happy camper. My co-worker ordered eggplant Parmesan without spaghetti from the dinner menu and loved it. It didn't come with a free salad though since it was from the dinner menu. By the end of the meal we were so full and had leftovers but wanted to try the tiramisu, so we got it to go. We ate it at the office later and it was a sad tiramisu. It was bland, not much texture, and barely had a coffee flavor. No better than from a grocery store. Overall, this trip made us happy and wanting to return for more good Italian food.

But then... today we returned and everything was off. We were placed in a small booth with no waiter assigned. The owner got our waters and took our order. I ordered the spaghetti with meatballs and my co-worker ordered eggplant Parmesan with spaghetti this time. The salad, the bread and the food came in quick succession. They didn't time it right and it was suspicious how quickly the food came, like it had been sitting there. There was a new cheesy topping on the bread that I didn't like. The cheese tasted weird and the bread was less flavorful. It was also barely warm unlike last time. The spaghetti was a joke. It did not have enough sauce by anyone's standard and it came with one meatball! The menu said spaghetti and meatballs not meatball. The whole dish was flavorless and watery. A freezer spaghetti was tastier. No one came to ask us how the food was or fill up our waters. The hostess was kind enough to clean out some dirty plates from our small table. We started to wonder if we had to get our own check. Finally, we asked a busboy for the check.

Overall, Italy Pasta & Pizza is inconsistent in it's service and flavor. I'm not sure that...

Seriously the comments on this place are just outright hilarious, how this restaurant was able to build a coalition of over 600 people to actually rate this place has me in sheer amazement... In fact, I would possibly go there again just to post pictures of the abismal emptiness of this establishment during peak eating hours just to show how absurd these reviews must be. I live VERY nearby this place so needless to say I have given it a shot on more than one occasion just hoping and praying for a positive experience that will make the fact that it's literally the closest Italian eatery in the area have even an ounce of meaning but alas... No sauce... I also LOVE to eat so I've tried the simple and the complex and the only notable experience I have ever had is the inside jokes I am able to share with my friends on just how truly deeply awful this place is... Cleanliness=not present, atmosphere=very old people no music, no lighting, just a cold bleak space think super bad 1990 pizza hut, service=I honestly don't even know how to comment here once one of my servers had dandruff so bad I felt physically ill, I personally witnessed and experienced not only lack of attention but actually acting as though I and my party where bothering them by asking for menus... Freaking menus!!!, Food=This is the front runner for the worst... Terrible just horrible, pizza cold soggy, unseasoned, sparsely dressed and almost no topings... I seriously have NOT tasted a single dish here that I couldn't have made better in my own home... Even cooking from frozen would be better than the absolute garbage they served... I mean me and my friends have actually considered submitting this restaurant to one of those save my restaurant shows where the celeb chef comes in and does an overhaul... Which is basically the only thing that could EVERY get me back in this place... And you can check my reviews, I almost never even leave and and this has got to be my first or one of 3 or less negative reviews it's just so crazy I was looking for local pizza and this came up... Like seriously...

EDIT: YOU CAN GET FOOD POISONING IMMEDIATELY FROM BAD FOOD. SHAME ON YOU. Y'ALL DON'T DESERVE TO BE IN BUSINESS.

Picked up chicken fettuccine alfredo a few weeks ago around 8pm on a Friday night for my boyfriend's birthday, and both of us got SEVERE food poisoning. The sauce tasted odd, but figured it was the flavor of the restaurant. The chicken used was very dry as well. A birthday weekend was ruined by a place that didn't perform quality control, nor the basic skill to make or heat up alfredo sauce properly. I've been angry this entire time since it happened, and it took a week or so to feel better. The third person in our party had an antipasti and didn't get sick. We're too nice of people to call and complain, and we literally don't want to ever have to deal with this place again. I had such high expectations when a longtime customer (she called herself that) was complimenting who I guess was the manager or bartender, so I really did think everything would be fine, giving the alfredo sauce a chance. I'll stick to Olive Garden as they've never done me wrong in my 30+ years of life. Please Note: this is a lengthy review for many reasons. Had I been in worse health due to my autoimmune disease, I would've gone to the ER. Bad food practices can kill people. The fact that the sauce was old makes me wonder how long it was being used since it's creation and how long the temperature was not at a safe heat. Is everyone there food handler certified? This is...
