Griff's Hamburgers — Restaurant in Fort Worth

Today March 24th @9:30 p.m. I went through drive thru and ordered a #2, an order of chilI tots & a corny dog. When we got to the window, we were informed it would be another 5min for the corny dog to be ready.. we went ahead and parked in front of the facility and waited for what was about ten min. Once we got home I unraveled my burger only to see that instead of mayo I got mustard, I asked for no onions and got an extreme amount, I asked for bacon and I got none. We also did not receive chili cheese tots, all we got was a reg order of tots. I went ahead and called, when this guy answers the phone I let him know "Hi, I was calling to make a complaint.." I go ahead and describe to him what had happened and as I'm explainING the wrongful error on tots he automatically hangs up!! I was really caught off guard and in shock, I had no attitude or any hostility in my tone and was really just explaiming my situation. I tried calling back (it could've been an accident) and my call was ignored.. so I tried again to which my call was then directed to voicemail... I could not believe what was happening! My brother was with me as I made the calls and we decided it was time to speak with a manager, so he dialed from his phone and a lady had answered, he answered "Hi, I wanted to speak with a manager" she automatically hung up on him as well!! He decided to try once more and the exact same thing happened. (Lady answers, asks for manager, gets hung up on).. it's very unfortunate this occurred and i see now this is how the staff treats it's customers.. going here to this location has been a long tradition in my family, as of the horrible treatment of tonight I nor will my entire family no longer...

So apparently I forgot how overpriced and aggravating this place is. I went through the drive thru on a Tue. for an order of tater tots. I sat for a good few minutes before anyone said anything.....I thought about driving off after the guy at the order speaker seemed to have an attitude already. U ordered and he asked, sounding as if I impeded his day, if that was all I wanted. I said yes, to which he asked if I wanted anything else....again I said that was all. So I sat there assuming there would be a total given ...not a word!! Well I go ahead and pull forward, still considering just leaving but instead waited. And waited.....AND WAITED...for a total of 23 minutes. By this time I finally get to the window.....and the guy finally opens the window and looks at me and again says "tater tots is all you wanted?" Again I say yes and give my card...mind you they charge over 3.00 for an order...ONE size only...and I sit....AND SIT...AND SIT....So he opens the window and CLEARLY IRRITATED AT ME because now it's going on 30 min....tells my snapping at me that they're cooking them (just NOW???) and it will be 1 min. 15 sec after he opens the window and shoves th towards me...not a word came out of his mouth. I take them and drive away. Immediately reach into the bag and the damn things are BARELY ROOM TEMPERATURE!!!! I get home and opn the bag to see a tiny container of tots. ALL OF 14 COLD TATER TOTS!!!! I WILL NEVER RETURN!!!! That is not only the absolute WORST customer service but a complete and total rip off.

Don't like their "mayo" bc it's salad dressing like miracle whip...

I have driven by this place many times, seen the many cars in the lot at lunch, and thought I should stop. I did today and I'm glad I did!

This was the best, thin patty, double-cheeseburger I've had in Fort Worth, and as good as I've ever had anywhere. Gourmet level quality at a regular burger place. Much better than In-N-Out, and even Shake Shack, although theirs are also good.

Griff's on River Oaks is exceptional in every way: meat, condiments, bun, how it was cooked. Cooked to order and perfection (I added grilled onions to the raw onions) and served super hot and fresh. The crew, all young men, did a great job, helpful and efficient, and the guy at the grill is a burger wizard.

I wish I had gotten the onion rings and not the fries, which were fine, but mid. (I don't think they were cooked in tallow, and would be better if they were, more crispy. These were a little soft for my taste.)

This will be my go-to place for that kind of burger from now on, and I will get the onion rings next time, which looked great. Their other menu items also look good, and I will need to try them too. Alas, I wish it was closer...
