I was so excited that a new Lisa's Chicken had recently opened near my place of employment. I had the opportunity the visit this location for the lst time this afternoon. I placed my order at the drive through. It consisted of 1) a 2 piece fish dinner with 2 sides. 2)and a 3 piece mixed chicken. From past experience from being shorted the amount of chicken pieces that l payed for, l checked the box of chicken after l payed $9.59 for my order. I was missing a piece of chicken as l had only 2 pieces in my box. The employee opened the window and l told her that my chicken order was short one piece. She says l only ordered 2 pieces. I informed her l had paid for the 3 piece l ordered. I was offered my choice of chicken piece and ask for a breast. She says that will be $2.50 in addition to what l already paid. Not realizing that l had already paid for a 3 piece, l payed it. She retuns to the window with my change and a piece of chicken that was a back. I told the employee the piece of chicken was a back and not a breast. She then tries to convince me this back is a breast. I told her a breast does not have ribs. She says she will change it to a breast. The 2nd time is a repeat of the lst experience, as she tries to give me the same piece of chicken. Again, l told her l ordered and payed for a breast. She closes the window and shortly returns with the same plastic container in a sack and assures me the order has been corrected and is a breast. This shenanigans took and additional 4-5 minutes at the drive through window. Thinking this was an honest mistake, l took her word to be the truth and also, l needed to be on my way. I get home and take the plastic container that had the piece of chicken l was expecting to be a breast, out of the paper sack. I discover what was suppose to be my breast that l payed 2 times for, was a thigh with a flattened out roll on top of it. Dishonesty, deception and manipulation... That is what l experienced at Lisa's Chicken today. I am very disappointed, to...
Read moreThis place came highly recommended by locals, but the food was average at best.
Quirky place, inside a gas station which was extremely busy. I ordered a three piece dinner plus half and half liver and gizzards. You can clearly see mounds of cooked chicken in the kitchen, but had to wait for the half and half order.
The chicken was ok, nothing special, just fried with moderate amounts of salt. The gizzards were nowhere to be found, just livers which contained so much salt it wasn't edible (probably because they knew the livers were old and had been refrigerated for a while). The fries were spectacular, no salt (which balances out the chicken being a tad bit over salted).
I imagine this place is busy because their prices are reasonable, but the food just isn't worth it IMO.
Staff was friendly enough for the area (pretty rough IMO).
Overall it was ok, but it will not be something I...
Read moreBest fried chicken in town in my opinion. You do have to keep on top of your order because they will forget about you and all they will do to compensate is throw you about ten french fries to your order. Watch out for that light skinned mexican girl who works in the mornings with the big nose cause she don't giva hot damn. She took my order once and I waited for 45 mins for my damn order. She was busy on her phone while all the other idiots were taking my chicken and giving it to other customers. When I finally said something she said it would be about 15 more minutes lmao. If I was her I would have refunded my money back and gave my order to me for FREE, but like I said she don't giva hot damn, oh but she does when Charlie the owner...
