I have been eating at the lunch box for over two decades. The food is delicious and still tastes the same as when I was a kid even though the owners changed a few years ago. It’s a Fort Worth staple with delicious sandwiches, soups, salads, and baked goods. They added breakfast and it’s amazing! I really like the avocado toast with eggs or the pancakes! It’s kid friendly, but not annoying, you can actually enjoy your breakfast or lunch. They have really stepped up and taken care of the community during the covid pandemic. From providing almost 300 FREE bagged lunches A DAY for healthcare, service industry, and just anyone in need, to taking FREE orders for thousands of lunches to be delivered to healthcare and essential facilities. Did I mention they did that for FREE! If you want good local foods, a good atmosphere, and great pricing visit The Lunchbox. Try a snickerdoodle, they’re my favorite! Oh and My mom says the egg salad and pimento cheese are also very delicious. Listen to mom, eat at...

All jokes aside, before visiting The Lunch Box for the first time you need to know it's "a thing." Most people inside are regulars, the entire place is strongly themed in "Lunch Box" green, yellow, and white, and you're going to spend $10 for a turkey sandwich. That said, it's going to be a very well made sandwich, your service will be quick, efficient, and genuinely kind, everything will be clean, and you'll have now eaten at a staple Fort Worth lunch spot. Congratulations.

Read moreI’ve always heard great things about this place and finally (after ten+ years) got around to eating here. It is great. They offer a 4 sandwich sampler with 1/4 slice each of tuna salad, chicken salad, egg salad and pimento cheese. I tried all 4 on marbled rye bread. All excellent and the chicken salad was my favorite. 🐤 👍🏽
They share ownership and kitchen space with The Black Rooster Bakery so that would explain why the bread was so tremendously good too.
The waitress was super nice and attentive and I look forward to going back.
Be aware that they don’t have a door facing the street so it can be hard to find/notice, but based on the crowd size I don’t think it’s a bad thing because it was nearly full. More visibility would just mean having to wait...
