Two years ago, there was a manager who ran this spot and was always going the extra mile for the customers, usually running the drive up window for the morning rush hour. Service could be slow, but it was still quality. At some point in Fall 2020, he was not around and the place went downhill from there. Your order on the screen would come up incorrectly half the time, forcing you to repeat it back. Then workers had to repeat back your order to you in person at the window (as if they could not understand what was said before) and many times they seemed confused with things. It got so bad I stopped going for most of last year.
Went by this morning and ordered a #19 with a diet coke (not a large, just a medium). When they showed the order on the screen, it said "Red Bull" for the drink. I immediately said "No, not a Red Bull, a diet coke!" Suddenly, the screen changed showing I'm now getting a large diet coke. Didn't expect that but it was fine. Pull up, and I can see there was a Red Bull can out on the counter, but I saw the lady putting my cup on the dispenser for diet coke and thought nothing of it.
All ok? Nope! As soon as I got to the office and took a drink, I could tell it was Red Bull MIXED IN with Diet Coke!
Other customers' reviews are right. This places deserves more than negative scores. It's time to shut it down. If you don't care about who you hire, then you don't care about your customers and apparently think this is a game or joke. Close down and let some other franchise...
Read moreI love Sonic but this was my worst Sonic experience ever. When we walked into the dining room area of this particular Sonic there were some managers sitting at a table which is no big deal. but before we could even order there was some yelling and screaming coming from the gas station side of this facility. Apparently it was an upset worker yelling at other employees and the managers. Then we tried to order from the phones in the dining area but they would not work so we went to the drive-thru. I ordered a chicken strip basket with onion rings instead of tots or fries. when I went to pay for my food they asked me what I wanted for a dipping sauce and I said gravy, but was told that they do not carry gravy anymore. This was very disappointing but they said it was a corporate thing not a local thing so I just shrugged my shoulders asked for barbecue sauce and left. When I got home my chicken strips tasted like they had been cooked hours ago. They were very dry! And to top it off they did not give me onion rings, they gave me tater tots. Which I did not order and were not hot. I am hoping this was a one-time issue because of whatever that workers problem was that was yelling at everyone... Maybe it threw everyone off of their game. I will continue to visit Sonic but I do not plan to...
Read moreFood quality has never been bad, but the service is hit or miss and the ease of access to drive thru, stalls and simply getting in and out of the damn parking lot from Belknap Rd is merely untenable at best--a potential nightmare in the form of a smashed car at worst!
Be aware, Sonic shares the building and driveway / parking lot area (rough size = ¼ square city block) with a very busy Chevron gas station that is poorly situated between two one-way only, 3 lane freeway ramps (Belknap west & east downtown Fort Worth) and is bound by two tiny two-way, 1-lane feeder roads...one with stop signs, one with traffic lights.
Even for those who are familiar with the area find themselves constantly dodging idiots who aren't paying attention to signs, rules of the road or the fact that this entire bridge access into & out of downtown is currently under a multi-year construction project (started 2016) that will PERMANENTLY change the traffic patterns and flow through this very congested stretch of what technically is Highway 121/183 ....sounds fun, doesn't it?!
Be prepared for VERY LONG WAITS during lunch hour.....and AVOID THIS SONIC IF YOU ARE PRESSED FOR TIME or have very limited lunch...
