I had never been to this restaurant and I don't think I ever will again. I've been to many fine restaurants in the Sundance Square location and never left a bad review, at all the restaurants in the area we have been treated very well and the food at most places is great. Friday I decided to try something new, I made a reservation for my hubby and I at Cheesecake Factory we arrived on time and I proceeded to check in at the front where we were ignored for about 5 minutes by the guy who was on the phone and 3 other hostess standing around. (No Biggie) once we were seated we were ignored again, it took about 15 minutes and a few waitresses passing by before a waitress to noticed us and asked if we have been helped, we said no and she asked us what we wanted to drink, we ordered the drinks and an appetizer (we had a long time to look at the menu) she realized we'd been there a while and asked if we were ready to order and we were. I ordered the shrimp pasta and my husband ordered the chicken pasta. Our main dish was out in 10 minutes if not less, this would be fine if I was in a hurry or if I hadn't ordered an appetizer, so I asked where is our appetizer? where is our bread? everyone around us had bread and butter, waitress came back and brought only wheat bread and said they were out of sourdough (all the other tables had sourdough) she said she would bring some when it became available, well it never became available to us only for the other tables, she asked if I still wanted the appetizer I said yes! so that came out after our main meal. She never asked if we wanted another drink either. When she realized she hadn't asked if we needed more drinks she finally asked my husband if he wanted another beer, by then I was very unsatisfied and ready to go I asked for my check paid leaving the 20 percent tip and we left. I have never been made to feel so out of place like I did that day, I feel as if we didn't want to be helped and were being rushed out, I have never ever pulled the race card but I feel that our treatment was based because we are Hispanic, I hope I am wrong but there is no other explanation to the way we were treated. I hope this is a wake up call for this restaurant we are paying attention. I am aware that one client wont make a difference in your restaurant but you should feel ashamed for making people feel uncomfortable. What was supposed to be a nice dinner date turned into a rushed dinner and...

Read moreI love Cheesecake Factory! I have been going to various locations with my family since I was a little girl for our regular family outings. So I know the service to expect from this lovely place.
Two days ago, it was my birthday and my boyfriend took me here (it’s his first time ever being at a Cheesecake Factory) as a surprise. Our hostess was very kind. Once seated, we waited 9 minutes before our server, James, came to greet us. He was training a server, Bailey. They were polite, he was just not personable.
Bailey, did a wonderful job assisting us and doing her best to ensure I had a good birthday dinner. The food was amazing as always! I got the fish tacos 🌮, simply delicious! A huge portion as well. My boyfriend got the Miso Salmon. The portion size is ok— it’s simple salmon, miso sauce and white rice (nothing special in my opinion, especially for the price).
Bailey, asked what cheesecake we would like for dessert. My boyfriend and I needed a moment to decide between the Oreo or snickers cheesecake (which were her recommendations). Politely, she leaves and says she’ll come back to take our order.
James, instead comes back with our check and says wait one moment. My boyfriend pays the tab and we wait...
James & Bailey come to our table with a plate...instead of receiving a cheesecake and a happy birthday song...I received a nicely decorated plate of whipped cream. No birthday song or cheesecake.
I’ve never had that experience on my birthday at Cheesecake Factory...so that was disheartening. Especially, as we leave I see another table being celebrated by the Cheesecake Factory staff with a song and cheesecake. Maybe there was miscommunication.
I didn’t get to place my order for the cheesecake I even wanted! So for the fact, we weren’t greeted for 9 minutes (no one stopped and asked if we need water or greeted us), I was not asked to place my order for dessert, instead I received a plate of whipped cream and a candle, no birthday song...I give them 3 stars.
The food was great, ambiance was nice, and the other staff was friendly . Maybe, I will come back and just ask for another server besides James. Especially, driving over 45 minutes to come and dine for a celebration you just want to be treated with love. The next venue we attended gifted me a free cocktail for my birthday. Now that’s...
