Taqueria Cuauhtemoc # 2 — Restaurant in Fort Worth

I was feeling sick and was craving a caldo, my first time here, I had the pozole rojo it was sooo Good and honestly hit the spot i definitely recommend it.. I also had a taco de asada wasn’t a big fan BUT the taco de tripa I asked for extra crunchy and was AMAZING🤤 my husband had a torta de Milansa and was fire 🔥 but the original way comes with mayo he hates mayo so ordered it with sour cream definitely recommend this also and he had a Michelada he loved it they don’t sell liquor or beer but they let my husband go to the food Mart next door and bought a cawama for his michelada which he really appreciated after a long day at work.. and really appreciated that we arrived at 915ish pm and they were all friendly didn’t feel rushed very welcoming OH and all 4 salsas were fire one of the housemade salsa that comes with the chips the darker one is Amazing but spicy...

First thing you should know is that the restaurant is built inside the gas station. Consequently the dining area is very small, so if you're planning to eat there, make sure your party is small. The food is Mexican but I wouldn't call it super authentic Mexican food. I had the quesabirrias and they were good but not great. A little greasy for my liking. The Consome that comes with the order is really small compared to other places. It's a bit salty but it helps because the meat in the quesabirrias lacks some flavor. I also had chicharron tacos which were also good but had no heat to them, I usually find those to be on the spicy side but if you're not into spicy food I recommend those. There was a hair in my friend's torta. My tacos were very tiny and had more onions and cilantro than meat. They had about a teaspoon of beef tongue in them. The workers referred to me as the old lady, and to my friend as the young man (in Spanish). They also flirted heavily with my friend. The restroom is inside of the adjoining gas station, but is kept locked. You have to ask for a key or use a sink behind the counter of the taqueria, which seems gross. We each got ONE napkin.
