Skillman Wok of West Fort Worth — Restaurant in Fort Worth

Skillman Wok is a very simple concept - simple, not upscaled. I've carried out, dined in & had FAST Delivery. Everything is a Great Price & their food is just as good as the newish (couple of years)Thai Noodle House a couple of blocks away, mentioned by a different reviewer And for 1/2 the Price or Less. I was astonished when when I learned the same food they offer is $35.00 for half the amount of the same food that cost $15.00 @ Skillman & it Wasn't Better. I don't go to the rip off "Noodle House". Skillman has a Very Inexpensive Pick up Special daily, are Quite Fast & Reasonable for Delivery & Strive to Please their Customers. We've never had boiled beef from there, rather marinated in corn starch, sliced thinly & very tender same w/chicken. Never under/over-cooked. It's a work horse environment. They Never seem to stop no matter the time And they will take your order up to closing time; Not just up to an hour before closing. They work hard for their money. Skillman has Many Choices to offer & will happily help w/ sensitivity needs, additional ingredients for low costs; will do most of what you request quite graciously. If you want good fast pick up or delivery for good basic dishes or no frills dine-in it's a great place to still get a good deal for your money. And Their Portions Are Not Skimpy. I've lived in this area for Several Years & have Never had food that didn't look, smell or taste fresh from Skillman. Granted it isn't upscale, but what they do they do very well. Delivery is Almost Always Before the estimated time, the guys, extremely courteous, Always. The ONLY Time there has been a wait (an hour at most) has been when in hideous weather for delivery I Screw up & Waited to Call @ The 11th Hour on a Night when Everyone up to & Including their 5th Cousin was calling. Not their Fault! No I get nothing to say these things AND they REWARD ME by Not Nagging me for my email address to sell my personal information while they mark up & betray my personal rights to privacy fir. Extra $... So Much More than I can say for some National chains over priced prefab food frozen & shipped to stores whose food is no better yet costs more for less. I've had Tremendously Delicious food at some of the Best restaurants around this country. Some Very Elaborate/Extremely Expensive & worth Every Dime to some of the Best Humble Shacks/Dives I'd love to visit again when I return to those cities. Many taught me that I liked new things or something I hadn't liked before because of how it hadn't been offered previously that I now savor. Most people will pay ridiculous prices for a plate with canned vegetables w/ a small piece of over-pounded, below average tasting piece of meat that appears Huge from being over-battered & fried, floating in rue thinned with water called gravy, from a package or meat that Requires some kind of sauce to be edible And don't even realize they're being ripped off by National Chains & some old local dives that need to update from long ago yet continuously raise their prices. Ft. Worth could become a city of Great Entrepreneurial restaurants - Lavish to Dives that offer the worlds great cuisines with the will to try anything different at least once with Any degree of appreciarion. I get so sick of the same foods here just prepared by yet a different house or National Chain. I so miss all of the restaurants of the entrepreneurs who wish to offer their best whether humble or grand the establishment or cuisine & all of the different tastes aromas & experiences of learning about foods of other cultures; much of which tastes better & has the added benefit, in many cases of being better and often healthier than much so called "food" we sadly claim as American. Having meant every word... I do wish they would clean up the place a bit more and perhaps throw some fresh paint on the walls. The walls look pretty dingy & it would be nice if they killed the dust bunnies on the ceiling. Yet I've never fiund Anything in my food that wasn't supposed to be included in the...

I purchased an order over the phone first the person on the phone was great I didn't get his name but he was a nice man. The food arrived faster than expected those were the only two good things. I spent $40.00 and the food sucked. The appetizers starting with the crab Rangoon were so over fried I couldn't eat them then the chicken skew and then beef skew were like eating jerky the egg rolls were mushy and full of grease. I ordered pepper steak and sweet and sour chicken with fried rice. Also ordered sweet and sour combination. The pepper steak had more green peppers and onions than beef there were about 5 small pieces of beef wasn't good at all. The sweet and sour chicken was worse now there was a lot of chicken but it wasn't crispy it was soggy and the sweet and sour sauce tasted like it was from a can or jar. The fried rice wasn't fried rice at all it was brown no eggs in it no peas or anything that makes fried rice. Now the sweet and sour combination was just as bad soggy pieces of chicken, pork and shrimp and the not restaurant made sauce. There were no pineapple onions or peppers in the chicken dishes which usually is in sweet and sour chicken. Now this was my experience and I won't be going back to skillman wok ever again. Very subpar food I would not recommend them to anyone Chinese food from the grocery...

Just went up there today and supposedly the manager was an Asian lady , she asked me and my mom if we were picking up when we told her we were placing multiple times she couldn’t hear us and catched an attitude and mean mugged us , even a Mexican cook offered his help and helped us out cause she couldn’t hear thanks to him was very nice . She just kept mean mugging , I asked one of the coworkers for her name she didn’t give it to me just asked why she was white , and I told her because she was catching nasty attitude when we were just trynna place an order and she got mad cause she couldn’t hear us after we told her multiple times we were placing and she kept thinking we had an order back there . I just think her customer service was nasty , disgusting attitude, irresponsible as a manager that’s not a way to treat a customer by the way she was raising her voice at us .They should close this place down its awful that just because whatever she was going thru , having a bad day she wants to come and mess it up for others and as her being the manager should definitely be fired !! If you can’t handle being a manger you shouldn’t be one!by the way im pregnant sucks that she tests a pregnant...
